Thistle Express London Luton

Awful hotel. Very dirty, very noisy and smells dreadful. I pre booked 3 separate stays and left on the first and tried to cancel future stays based on this and the hotel refused. Extremely disappointing

The lift certainly needs sorted. It stopped on a floor that once out the lift looked like a building site! Then the lift didnt work for us to get back in. my family and another guest eventually found a service door leading to steps. My 3 young child were terrified. A security guard did find us and showed us some of the way after we had to lift my daughter in her wheelchair down the stairs. In the end a man who worked in the kitchen took us to reception. We had no time to make a complaint as the time we had wasted meant we had less time to get to the airport. Staff said the lift sometimes does that!!

Cleanest ever hotel room I have stayed in. Spotless. We had trouble finding the entrance doorway, the reception was noisy (noises echoing made it worse). Dining room and food laid out for breakfast and the tables and seating were separated by the reception desks and the route to the door and lifts. Poor design. Such a shame as the staff were very helpful.

This was a beautiful modern hotel. It is located next to a mall entrance that leads down to the central square of the town. The hotel is about two blocks from the train station and it is a nice walk to get there. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Wasnt sire what to expect after readings the reviews on line, but in all it was a pleasant stay, the staff was very helpful and welcoming, the car park isnt very big with limited spaces so id advice you arive a little early so that theres time to find space befor checking in. the room was verry clean, abit warm but they gave us a fan amd a thin blanket and with the window open it was fine, one of the lights did flicker quite abit at the side of the bed, but other than that no complains about the room. The elevator however could do with some maintenance as it was verry rattling and abit un-nerving, as it clattered quite and bit and looked to be stugglung to open and shut its doors. Reception was quite a but speacw with pleanty of seating and tables with a allocated food area for morning breakfast, there was also tablet (screen thing) that you could oder an uber from with was very handy but out of place as it looked very new especially since work needs doing on the lifts. Breakfast was okay, not the best ive had but was okay. Tea and coffee is only avaliable in the lobby as theres no kettle in the room with was a bit strange, having to get up in a morning and go to the lobby for a coffee witch ment having to get dress and look presentable really than been able so relax and wake up properly with my coffee befor gettting ready amd going out. Parking is £10 for 24hours witch isnt cleary stated and is abit confusing when pullinb up with signes saying 4 hours, no other complai

It was a very hot day and the air conditioning was not working. We could not open the window and only had one small fan circulating hot air. We both had a very poor night’s sleep in a hot box! We were offered no compensation for this. If we had of known prior to arrival we would have cancelled and not stayed at this hotel.

Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Electrical wiring was questionable - no lights in bathroom, no air conditioning working, fans offfered as alternative didn’t work either. Lifts were not working and when my wife asked for assistance from staff to bring luggage down 5 flights of stairs, they responded with “can’t you do it yourself”! Outside of hotel was a gathering ground for homeless. Will never set foot within 2 miles of this facility again! Worst hotel experience of my life.

Very good

The hotel is tired and dated, there was no air conditioning in the room and judmst a plaque saying its not working. The carpets were dirty and stained. However, it was more than okay for a night and for what we paid. It also came with breakfast which surprised me.

We were really impressed with the hotel, the staff and the room until we came across a bed bug on the sheets along with a spot of blood! We were checking out very early and didn’t see any staff to raise it with so I contacted the hotel via private message to inform them. Since then, I have found a cluster of bites on my shoulder and the hotel is now no longer replying to me after previously promising a 50% refund. I wanted to give them a chance to resolve this privately but as responses have stopped I’ve decided to write this publicly in the hope that it will receive the attention it needs.

Amazing value given the history of the building and the location cannot be better for downtown Luton. Great to have facilities like tea and coffee, and breakfast was from a small but essential selection. Room were nice, using a fan rather than air conditioning. Which was ok.

Absolutely one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in !

I really like this hotel, is less than 10 min walk from Luton Station Interchange. The hotel is next door to Luton Point, where are many restaurants and other places to eat, or shopping. The staff at reception is very welcoming, polite and professional. The room and bathroom were very clean, spotless. The bed was really comfy, I had a very good sleep. The breakfast was very good, there were pancakes, I love pancakes. I will be back to this place, as I like it.
