Wonderful hotel, superb food and staff were excellent

Nice quiet place, clean and comfortable

Friendly and helpful and the restaurant was good too. Walking distance of pretty medieval town. Pool was appreciated. Good overnight stopping point on a long journey.

This was a quick stay for us... just one night. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and they were excellent. The hotel is about a 5-minute car ride from the town.

Great little hotel in a small medieval village in central France. Lovely swimming pool and staff very good. Restaurant food was excellent and it is a very good option to rest for a few days in the region. The staff was able to assist us in getting help when we got stranded in the motorway.

The situation of the hotel was excellent- the pool area was lovely & the ground floor was warm & inviting. The room was disappointing & expensive for what it was. A very basic room - no mini bar no safe & no lift & no offers of help with luggage. Very basic amenities in bathroom - minimal unfluffy towels. Would definitely not want to stay more than 1 night. Bed was comfortable & bed linen was very nice & crisp. Check in was impersonal in the evening- staff were more friendly in morning. Restaurant was ok rather impersonal. Nobody asked how our meal was. Croissants at breakfast were still a bit frozen inside…& took sometime to arrive …

Very nice hotel - clean and comfortable. Pool, parking and high level restaurant. Staff was professional and friendly. Will definitely stay here in our next trip to Burgundy.

Stayed here as a stop-over en-route to the Alps. It was very quiet when we stayed (Dec 2021), probably due to restrictions, and we had a fabulous meal in the onsite restaurant. A great nights sleep and a little walk around the beautiful little town and we were fully recharged to carry on our journey.

Nice room, very quiet. All the Chanel on the tv were not working but the staff is very pro and kind.

Acceuil froid et sans charme. Quand nous somme arrivés, il nous a fallu attendre une bonne minute à la réception pour que quelqu'un daigne de lever la tête pour nous répondre. La chambre avait l'air sale et un des lits n'avait pas été préps draps étaient couverts de poils et nous avons dû demander qu'ils soient changés. Inquietant surtout pendant ces temps-ci avec le COVID-19. De plus, la climatisation ne marchait pas bien dans la chambre et il faisait trop chaud pour dormir. Le tapis dégageait une mauvaise odeur et la salle de bain n'avait pas l'air très propre.De plus, la climatisation ne marchait pas bien dans la chambre et il faisait trop us avons pris notre dîner en terrasse le soir mais on s'est soudainement reouvé entouré de guêpes et nous avons dû manger à l'intérieur du restaurant ce qui était dommage. Par contre, la serveuse principale était très accueillante, charmante et professionnelle comme d'habitude. Dommage que le reste de l'équipe au restaurant ne soit pas aussi professionnel. Et un conseil: n'allez pas à la piscine si vous voulez trouver du calme et un peu de repos... les familles avec les enfants savent abîmer tout ça. C'était notre deuxième visite à l'hôtel cet été et franchement nous étions encore plus déçu que nous l'étions la prémière fois. Ce qui est triste c'est que ça fait 25 ans que nous séjournons à l'hôtel mais à chaque fois l'équipe fait semblant de ne pas nous reconnaître. Cela vous donne peut-être une idée de leur service client.

First holiday nwith our new baby. They put a travel cot in our room and gave us a nice table outside for dinner which a bit out the way. Food and wine was excellent.

The hotel is fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast substantial and yummy and the staff, simply amazing. The location is stunning and a short drive to the most magical, medieval town of Semur en Auxois. If you're exploring Burgundy, Semur en Auxois and this hotel is a must!

We have stayed here on numerous occasions while travelling. High standards are consistently maintained. Semur is well worth visiting, the hotel grounds are attractive and the restaurant is very good.

Comfortable hotel with friendly staff and a nice restaurant

We stayed at Hostellerie d'Aussois for one evening as we explored the local sites of Semur-en-Auxois. The location of the hotel was handy and just a 20 minute walk into the heart of the town or a 5 min taxi ride, opposite the hotel is one of the towns best vantage points and a great place to take some panoramic photos. As for the hotel itself, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. There's a swimming pool located on site alongside a bar and restaurant which served good food, there's also ample parking if you need it. We found the staff to be friendly and they were more than happy to help with any requests we had (both in French and English). I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're exploring the area and I would have no hesitation in booking again.
