Our stay was absolutely AMAZING at Baron - it was our first time in Iceland. The hotel is centrally located to everything and it was easy for tour buses to pick up as well as being a block away from Bus stop #9 which is soooo convenient for all transportation/fly bus/tour buses to pick up/drop off. Everyone we interacted with in the hotel was amazing and helpful. It truly made our dream trip so much sweeter (our flights were cancelled and rebooked prior to our arrival) the Hotel team was A BLESSING to accommodate travel changes and plans due to the flight cancellations. THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING STAY

Fosshotel Barón fit our needs perfectly. My family of 4 (parents, 10 and 12 year-old boys) needed a place to stay for 1 night in Reykjavik at the end of our week exploring Iceland. We had the family suite with 1 king bed for us and another room with bunk beds for the kiddos. Other than our room not being quite ready at the 3pm check in time, the hotel was perfect. They were very accommodating in allowing us to store our luggage at arrival and at departure. Everything was comfortable. The location was near (but not right in the middle) of the shops/restaurants of downtown Reykjavik. The breakfast was pretty standard hotel stuff. All in all, nothing spectacular but perfect for what we needed.

The hotel is in a great location, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms and beds are rather small, as expected however they were very quiet. Lots of shoppers and food options within a couple blocks. Also very near the coast. All in all, considering the costs of everything in Iceland this hotel was reasonably priced.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was large by European standard there was no dresser to put clothes in, there is no air conditioning and the bathroom is small with an even smaller shower, there is tiny sink with glass shelve above it holding 2 glasses and a box of Kleenex and nothing else can be put there. If you try to lean over the sink to wash your face you will hit your head on the glass shelve if you are not careful. There is only one small bar about 1.5 foot long to hand a towel and that is it. The TV stands on a desk occupying space that could have been used to put things. It has one small drawer only. No hooks or anything to hand a coat. Luckily we had only 2 nights booked.

Great little hotel, overlooking the ocean/ocean walk; 10 minute walk to 'downtown' Reykjavik. Staff friendly & helpful. Carpet in room needs cleaning/replacement, and hairdryer overheats & shuts off quickly, but these are minor issues. Would recommend.

The rooms are very small. No blackout curtains, make it difficult to sleep. The shower is so small! Hot water has extremely bad smell, even for Rejkavick that is know for that. Way too expensive for it is.

Perfect hotel to stay in Iceland. Right on the waterfront with a great view and fantastic service. Front desk associates were superb. Sophia assisted us several times and went above and beyond. From forgetting a water bottle at the Lava show, to leaving our key in the room, to happy wine places. If we ever return to Iceland we will stay here again.
