Disappointed with how the hotel handled a fire alarm fault at 1am. There was no information offered by staff when guests assembled at reception. Staff seemed fo be scrambling.
Guests making noise and playing loud music in room next to ours and don’t feel this was handled well either.
At breakfast the next morning I overheard a guest asking for information in relation to needed a doctor and floor manager did not seem to be aware of options available in the vicinity (I was from the area so could advise of a walk in GP service across from hospital) .
Staff need to be better briefed in handling such situations.

The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The restaurant was very good. The breakfast was nice. The Staff were helpful. The only issue was they had beer keg exchange below our room in the wee hours of the morning that work is up.

This is a very nice hotel, with very generous sized rooms and comfortable beds. It is a little bit dated. It did not have, for example, USB ports for charging your devices, and the shower was a little bit odd. Otherwise the amenities were very nice. The bar and restaurant were excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. They were not cheap, but were decent value.
