Holiday Inn EDINBURGH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Too noisy even at late night. No control from Hotel. Breakfast was just normal, but not enough for that rate.

Lovely hotel with lots of facilities swimming pool spa and food served until late. It’s situated on the bus route to the airport and the city centre right next door to Edinburgh Zoo.

Nice hotel. Wifi is lousy, only works properly in the reception / bar area

We stayed for 3 nights as a family. Our room overlooked the car park which was very noisy at times. We all bought ear plugs after the first night. You can hear everything from the rooms either side and corridor noise. The staff were helpful and breakfast was ok but I wouldn’t recommend it for a stay. Certainly not somewhere for 3 nights away of little sleep and the room was very tight for space.

Great location, 15/20 mins walk into town, all flat or 10min bus ride, various options all very frequent and cheap. Staff were amazing couldn't fault them, helpful, knowledgeable and nothing was to much. The room was as you'd expect and although on the street side of the property very quiet. The food was standard to say the least on the first night, but redeemsd itself on the second. Breakfast was well organised and plentiful. The biggest thing for me was the pool and changing rooms, both looked very tired and run down, and could do with alittle tlc, but usable and clean. All in all and excellent hotel, close enough to the city but just far enough out to be away from it all and dead handy for the zoo and Murrayfield. Would recommend.

Perfectly located to the city - a bus ride of around 6-8 minutes to Princess Street/main visitor attractions/Castle etc - parking also available at hotel. The outside of hotel is not very appealing but once inside it is very open, well lit and decorated - lovely relaxing feel about the place. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable - would certainly use this hotel again.

Everything was great about the stay, except the beds. which are very uncomfortable.

Cleanliness carpet

Front desk staff was great. Super helpful and accommodating. The lobby of the hotel is great but the rooms don’t really match that. They are pretty old and my biggest hangup was the cleaning. Stray hairs and left over soap in the bath tub tells me the cleaning was lacking.

Sehr nettes und höfliches Personal. Zimmer groß und ruhig. Rabatt im Zoo nebenan. Transfer Bus in die Stadt direkt vorm Haus. Restaurant sehr lecker. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber es hat uns gut gefallen. Danke.

Good transport links from airport and into city centre

No complaints . Very comfortable . Good breakfast. Nice staff

Far away from city cen

No convient access for people in wheel chair. Tons of stairs

Front desk guys were very welcoming , friendly and helpful! The staff in charge of the kitchen not so kind , they were somehow rude to help when asked a question During breakfast time . Good location. Not so close by foot to the city center, but easy access by buss which stop it right outside the hotel. We had a great stay overall.

Good hotel, nice and clean. Doesnt look much from outside but nice inside. Rooms need a bit of an upgrade but clean.
