Staying at Hotel Royal is a very pleasant experience. Starting from the service from the management level to the house keeping, all is the best. On this occasion, I would like to thank Ms. Alice and Ling (pretty smile duty manager) with other staff for their friendly and professional services. I always stay at Hotel Royal when in Singapore. If it is counted dozens of times and will continue. It is true, Hotel Royal is my second home in Singapore. Will stay again.

There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel with buses all the way to downtown areas within 3 stops to Orchard Road. We had really good value for money for staying in this hotel. The room is spacious and quite modern and comfortable. Breakfast is okay in terms of quality and quantity. All of the staff are very helpful and polite. Definitely will stay here again.

I like that the room is big, they make the bed daily even we didn't ask for it. They have what old hotels have like an iron board, and a retractable clothesline. They also refill the amenities daily. Location-wise, it's near the Novena MRT. Their bed and pillows are comfortable. Overall, I am very happy with our stay.

I was permitted early check-in by 12:00, which was very helpful. In the morning at 08:00 I left my bags with the concierge. I finished my business in town and returned to the hotel at 12 noon. Shown to my room, which is quite old fashioned but very spacious. It was soundproof and had a good view to the north. I took a light meal, a bowl of very tasty Laksa at the Trishaw Cafe, then went to my room for a rest—no sleep the night before on a flight. After a rest I took a walk and found a busy shopping district within a hundred meters of Hotel Royal. Very interesting area.

I really appreciate the hotel staff, the front desk staff are very helpful, the location is strategic, near Orchard Rd and I'll be back to stay here for my next visit in Singapore.

Please, don't push your luck staying here, I know it's an old hotel, that is acceptable, but cleanliness has nothing to do with it. Came to Singapore during F1 season, and we all know how expensive hotels could get during an international event. Found this hotel with an amazing location. Bus stop is in front of the lobby, Newton food center was around the corner, Novena MRT station was 8 minutes walk. location wise, it's amazing. But when it comes to cleanliness, it was the worst experience I have ever had in Singapore. When I saw a 4 star hotel, I chose it, I mean, how bad could it be? a 4 star hotel in SINGAPORE? I was dead wrong. The room was damp, my clothes are pretty much almost wet the morning after. The collection of dust was spectacular. I don't really think they clean everything during routine house keeping duties. They might change the bed sheet (or maybe not), emptied the bins, but that was pretty much it. AC was not working properly, found my self woke up 3 am in the morning wet of sweats. The room smells funny, they don't serve water in the room, but they do have dispensers at every floors. I mean, it's 4 star hotel! I will not ever come back, and neither should anyone, it was a rip off.

I've stayed here twice. The hotel is comfortable and easily accessible. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, making connecting to the MRT easy. The bedrooms are spacious compared to other hotels. I hope the interiors of the rooms will be renovated in the future.

Singapore is the country I visit most frequently, both for recreation and business. Of course, my choice for accommodation is the Royal Hotel. I've stayed here dozens of times and have always received excellent and friendly service from Ms. Alice and the other hotel staff. The Royal Hotel is like a second home to me.

At first, I was a little disappointed with the receptionist. I booked two rooms. I still hadn't arrived yet, so my mother, who had arrived first, asked me to check in. But the receptionist refused because I wasn't the only one who arrived. Even though we had photos and the hotel booking code.
