Staying at Hotel Royal is a very pleasant experience. Starting from the service from the management level to the house keeping, all is the best. On this occasion, I would like to thank Ms. Alice and Ling (pretty smile duty manager) with other staff for their friendly and professional services. I always stay at Hotel Royal when in Singapore. If it is counted dozens of times and will continue.
It is true, Hotel Royal is my second home in Singapore. Will stay again.

There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel with buses all the way to downtown areas within 3 stops to Orchard Road. We had really good value for money for staying in this hotel. The room is spacious and quite modern and comfortable. Breakfast is okay in terms of quality and quantity. All of the staff are very helpful and polite. Definitely will stay here again.

I like that the room is big, they make the bed daily even we didn't ask for it. They have what old hotels have like an iron board, and a retractable clothesline. They also refill the amenities daily. Location-wise, it's near the Novena MRT. Their bed and pillows are comfortable. Overall, I am very happy with our stay.

the staff were very helpful. unfortunately when i stay they had to fix the elevator so noisy in the morning. but they give us a big plate of fruits for the unconvinced.great thing is bus transport literary infront the hotel but for mrt bit far

Please, don't push your luck staying here, I know it's an old hotel, that is acceptable, but cleanliness has nothing to do with it.
Came to Singapore during F1 season, and we all know how expensive hotels could get during an international event. Found this hotel with an amazing location. Bus stop is in front of the lobby, Newton food center was around the corner, Novena MRT station was 8 minutes walk. location wise, it's amazing.
But when it comes to cleanliness, it was the worst experience I have ever had in Singapore. When I saw a 4 star hotel, I chose it, I mean, how bad could it be? a 4 star hotel in SINGAPORE?
I was dead wrong. The room was damp, my clothes are pretty much almost wet the morning after. The collection of dust was spectacular. I don't really think they clean everything during routine house keeping duties. They might change the bed sheet (or maybe not), emptied the bins, but that was pretty much it.
AC was not working properly, found my self woke up 3 am in the morning wet of sweats. The room smells funny, they don't serve water in the room, but they do have dispensers at every floors. I mean, it's 4 star hotel!
I will not ever come back, and neither should anyone, it was a rip off.

The room is too cheap compared to the quality, not too luxurious but spacious and clean. The staff is enthusiastic, helping me book a car and make international calls. The small minus point is that the room is a bit cold.

The room was clean and not to far to the city center, there is bus station just infront of the hotel which is nice. The elevator waiting so long and the bathroom flood when we take shower. Over all was nice, i will comeback again!!
