The British Colonial is a historic hotel in Downtown Nassau, it is spacious, wifh a friendly staff, updated rooms, and a great private beach and conveniently in the heart of downtown Nassau. It is close to paradise island, the must not miss fish fry, and about 15 minutes to Baha Mar and jaws beach. I cannot wait to go back.

Lovely place and staff. Classic and charming. Fun to watch cruise ships come in and out. In the heart of town which was nice. Pool, beach, bar and gym were all great.

Staff were professional, house keeping was great, beautiful place. Minor things: Shower had very weak pressure and would take a long time to become hot. Hold for the hotel was charged to my card even though they said it wouldn't be, still waiting on it to be returned which can take up to 14 days.

Staff was attentive and helpful, from the front desk to the bellman to the restaurant. The grounds are beautiful, and the rooms were spacious. The live singer at the Tavern on Thursday was amazing and made our experience so much fun. Food at all the restaurants were good

In general we had a nice stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and in an ideal location for tourists that want to explore downtown Nassau. The pool area and private beach were the highlight, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. However there were a few details that could use improving for the price. The gym is small, our bed was a lot firmer than expected, and all the food sold at the hotel is pretty expensive. It’s also tough finding dinner outside the hotel because many of the nearby restaurants close when the cruise ships leave around 5 or 6 PM.

Beautiful and well appointed resort. Staff was gracious and helpful at all turns. Pools, patio, deck, and beach were lovely. Drinks were good, food was delicious. Our only complaint is that we could have used a few more dining options. Would go back.
