We stayed here for the second time and the improvements on the hotel are great, staff tries to be friendly, most of them are, I guess is the Bahamian way, not too many options for dining or partying after 5 when all the stores close. After all it’s a beautiful place, the private beach and the access to Bay Street is a plus.

We didn't like the fact that the cruise ships could buy a day pass. When they came off the ships every day, it was chaos with all the kids yelling and screaming. Also, the lounge chairs were hard to find available due to the day passes. Beautiful but unfortunately we will not return because of that.

I truly enjoyed the historical significance of the hotel, and its location in downtown Nassau. The staff, especially Shakera (spelling?) were very helpful getting us settled in our room, and providing information about things to do within walking distance around the hotel.

-It is the second oldest hotel. The first one was lost in fire: Source a taxi driver.
It is beautiful!!! the personnel is friendly and helpful. The singer in the bar was out of this world wonderful.
Only minus is they do not know how to make pancakes. But … o well… we are on planet Earth.

We had an amazing week! The property is beautiful and clean with a nice private beach with chairs& umbrellas. Or swimming pool with plenty of comfortable seating and shade.
The staff were very friendly and helpful!
Our room was comfortable and spotless!
Prefer this property to the huge resort.
Easy walking distance to several great places to eat! Directly across the street was THE best sushi and black cod I've ever had! Definitely booking again! Love love love

Beautiful hotel and very nice staff. Nice beach and pool. Next to shopping areas. Taxi stand just outside. Mahogany bar is very impressive, with live music sometimes. Restaurant is nice but breakfast could be better. Overall highly recommend.
