Property is right in the middle of down town. Easy access to so much!!! Great hotel and great staff!!!

Beautiful property in a great location next to downtown shopping area. Staff was amazing, they really make this property a gem. Private beach and pool area clean and well kept. Enjoyed watching the cruise ships pass by. Felt safe. Only thing is I don’t understand is why the bar area outside closes at like 5-6? Just be aware too there is a $49 resort fee per room per day that I missed when we booked the room. I would stay here again it was wonderful.

British Colonial is a very elegant hotel with great amenities for a 4-star. If you're looking for a quieter, much more affordable place to stay than Atlantis or Baha Mar, this is it. It's also right in the center of town so you can walk to everything.

The property is excellent, very cleaned, and well maintained. The front desk receptionists were very helpful. But the staff in the hotel restaurant was not so friendly.

Beautiful hotel. Room was very small and quite loud being on 2nd floor in front by parking lot. Room was decorated nicely. Bathroom was very small and zero counter space or space to put any of your belongings. No shower curtain which looks great but makes wet mess of bathroom no matter how careful you are. Large soft bath towels, robes and slipper provided.
Pools were lovely and food was great.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The interior was very nice, and the location is excellent—convenient to everything I needed.
My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The only downside was its placement next to a shared balcony. I didn’t realize at first that people could see in, which made things a bit uncomfortable, especially after getting out of the shower. I had to keep the window closed for privacy throughout my stay.
The food at the hotel was good, but I found it to be on the pricey side. Also, while some of the staff were friendly and helpful, the food service employees seemed less engaged—rarely smiled and gave off the impression they didn’t really want to be there.
Despite a few drawbacks, I’d still consider staying here again due to the quality of the accommodations and the prime location.

The service was excellent. Our room was ready long before our time to check in. The only hiccup was not having a microwave in our room to heat up our food that was bought outside of the hotel. But, I will visit there again.

It will be nice if the hotel had full body mirrors in the room. It would also be nice if chairs on the pool and beach deck are reserved for some hotel guests. It will also be great if there was some sort of game room for guests to mingle. It will also be nice to have breakfast included in the stay… The views are beautiful and the room stay cleaned.

The hotel did not honor my $42 beverage perk and charge me for refills for the drink I had at dinner! The room next-door I had a loud couple that kept fighting and ended up having to be removed from the hotel and I had to go down to the front desk two times to report it before they would do anything! I would’ve called from my room phone, but that didn’t work. I had to wait two hours just to be seated in the dining area for a quick meal. This hotel is not big on customer service and should be honoring their agreements with Expedia, which they are not.

Not sure who’s leaving reviews for the property. Nonetheless, during our 6 night reservation, the beds were made twice, the sheets were never changed, the floors were never vacuumed or moped and when we arrived there was mold at the base of the shower.
And to top it off I paid close to $600 in resort fees.
