Aston Islander on the Beach

Beautiful property with incredible ocean views. If the tile floors and trim were replaced it would be perfect!

Great location, nice beach, dining and shops just next door.TV cable did not work, was not fixed while I was there. Expedia did not give me the correct amount of my initial deposit, which caused confusion in billing.

Close to the beach

Restaurant selection on the island is limited. Islander does not have a restaurant on property but some options close by. Also have grills by the pool. Not updated to accommodate multiple electronic charging in the room. It is an adequate room as most of the day is outside.

Super great location, ocean just 50m away with direct access. Friendly staff, nice grounds and great pool. Lots of restaurants and shops around as well. Definitely would go there again!

I liked the walkable paths right by the property. Right on the ocean. Can hear and see the ocean from the room. The rooms were clean and there was a market/food within walking distance. The parking was challenges at times because the spots were tight and people didn’t park well, but that isn’t the hotels fault.

it's what you paid for it , monsters crochets on our bedroom and let front desk know they just said sorry , those pets like warm weather !!! didn't do anything regards . room needs updated badly even the old T.V , mattress. , on pictures looks nice. julio

The staff were not nice or helpful at all

The rooms need an upgrade, beds and pillows are hard and the microwave did not work. Had a power outage for 10 hours and heard nothing from the property. Location is great but staff are not very friendly.

Very 'dated' property.. but still rather nice with great amenities Oceanside... Peggy @ front desk was great and very helpful and informative!!

The main negative point is that the buildings and rooms have not been refreshed for years (perhaps since the 80s). There are obvious rust spots on the building, balconies and in my room. Furnitures are also very dated. It’s really pass time that a through upgrade is needed for the facility.

I enjoyed my stay at the Aston Islander. The property is well maintained and right on the ocean. There are number of dining and shopping options within walking distance. I especially liked the Happy hour at the bar by the pool — good place to talk to fellow travelers. The room itself was in pretty good shape but could use some touch up paint. The bed could have been better located — it was directly under the AC unit. Overall, I recommend and I’d stay here again.

Met all expectations. Beautiful beach!

This was a perfect property for my husband & I. The grounds are beautiful and just a few steps from a gorgeous beach with many lounge chairs (there were always some available anytime we went) We went to many snorkeling beaches including here! Clean pool/hot tub with more lounge chairs, some picnic tables and a bbq area as well as a small bar. Towel exchanges were easy. They have laundry facilities that are pay per load with quarters, but they supply soap if you need it. They have a card that you check out to use the laundry room, so it was only used by guests, but the hours were 8am to 8pm.That time framed worked for us. The room we used had a mini fridge, microwave, single kitchen sink and there were dishes provided. This made it nice to pick up some simple breakfast and lunch items so we didn't have to eat out for every meal. There's also a complimentary filtered water machine in the lobby(as well as many around the island) and a vending mchine with some snacks and drinks. This is the type of resort that does room cleaning every few days, not daily, but they let us know in advance what days that would be so we could plan to be out of the room. There are many walkable shops and restaurants, making it super convenient. We also loved the location as it was pretty central from the north shore or south shore. Check-in was super easy. We got there before 10 pm, so the front desk was still open, but if you're going to be later, they'll leave your keys wjth the security guard.
