Smoke filled room

The hotel needs better cleaning.

The room conditions were unacceptable. The first room was infested with flies, and while the front desk moved us, the second room was only slightly better. The entire hotel had a foul odor, the elevator was filthy, and the 3rd-floor hallway door lock was broken, making security a major concern. Inside the room, we found dead cockroaches, foul-smelling towels, and no proper comforters on the beds. To make matters worse, water leaked from the ceiling in several places during heavy rain—we genuinely feared the roof might collapse. This property is beyond renovation; it requires a complete rebuild. Without a doubt, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Outdated building in need of serious repair. Nadine at the front desk was outstanding as well as the young man who helped me with the TV. The breakfast was great, a lot of variety! However, The bed had no blanket, only sheets and was not comfortable. The lock to the 3rd floor entry door from the outside is broken and the key card was not necessary to enter. The floor in the hall is disintegrating, soft areas and missing flooring throughout the area. Also, there is no lock on the 3rd floor window?! My daughter opened it without having the unlock it.

This hotel is horrible, the floors were caving in and the doors wouldn’t lock and that’s not safe for families, the smell of the hotel was horrid and the overall experience was horrible and I didn’t feel safe which made me leave early. I couldn’t stay there

It was good option for the time we had in Gainesville. The fridge was almost frozen and not cooling enough. Room was really good and clean. Good hot water and AC. Not bad.

They want $100 deposit and there's no where on the page that mentions that

The first room I checked in the bed was broken but they immediately put me in another room a bigger room and it was a quiet stay

Bedbugs will never stay there again cigarette smoky room in a non-smoking room hard to breathe

It wass as a decent place for an overnight stay. Not as nice as other Baymont hotels I have stayed at.

The room was clean. It's a bit noisy due to being right by I-75. Had issues with TV due to past storm. Great staff and very accommodating.

The space is quite generous and comfortable, and the breakfast offerings are excellent. Overall, it has been a positive experience with no complaints.

We recently drove to Gainesville and had a reservation at this hotel. I left my wife and kids in the car while I went inside to check in. The front desk staff was polite, and I was given our room keys without issue. After grabbing our bags, we took the elevator up to the second floor. As soon as we stepped out, I noticed the hallway walls had multiple holes—possibly from ongoing renovations. When we reached our room, I tapped the key card, got the green light, but the door wouldn’t open. It finally budged after I applied heavy pressure, which seemed odd. Once inside, the room was completely dark. I reached for the light switch and found a note underneath that read, “Do not turn off the switch—it controls the refrigerator.” That felt unusual. I opened the blinds for some natural light and found a lamp on a tilted desk. I adjusted it and turned it on, then turned on another lamp nearby. That’s when we really saw the condition of the room: it looked extremely dingy and unclean. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, as if someone had just been in there. The carpet, walls, and ceiling were all visibly dirty. The A/C unit had actual footprints on it, along with a layer of dust and dirt. In the bathroom, we found pubic hairs and cracked flooring—it was clearly not cleaned. At that point, I told my family we were leaving. We packed up immediately, went downstairs, and checked out. This was an incredibly disappointing experience and not what we expected based on the listin
