Comfort Inn Dickinson

Hallways had trash in them. Wi-Fi password didn’t work and was redirected to an unsecure network, so now I have viruses on my phone. The toilet seat was askew, and was off one of the anchors. This place has really deteriorated since our last visit a few years ago.

Checking in, the lady at the front desk said not to use the pool because the chemicals were off but it was still open. The pool was ice cold anyway and the waterslides had even colder water. The hot-tub was closed. The only door that worked was the main entrance. Someone else tried entering our room shortly after we checked in. We didn’t use the shower, but everything looked fairly clean to us at a glance.

This hotel is just old and very tired. You know how you can wash a towel, but there are still permanent stains that make it seem dirty? Thats this hotel and towels. The gal that checked us in was very nice Chances are really good i would not stay at this hotel again

We picked this hotel specifically for the pool. When we arrived, the front desk attendant informed us that the main pool was shut down but the kids pool area was open. We were disappointed but checked in as our kids are younger and would still have fun. Entering our room, the first thing we noticed was a damp smell. The room itself looked mostly ok at first glimpse but was dated, some walls had bits of plaster fall off and there was a grounding cable sticking out from behind the AC. The prospect of pool time kept us there. We took a break and an hour later went to check out the pool. There was no sign at the door informing about the shut down. When we saw that the water for the kids pool area was shut off, we went back to the front desk and were rather rudely informed that "as she said" the pool was shut down (no, she said only the main pool was shut down). The kids were crushed as by now it was too late to find another hotel. Took the kids for ice cream. After getting back and getting ready for bed, we found stains on the sheet (underneath the comforter). One pillow had mascara stains, another had a big whole in the pillow case (both on the backside, so not visible earlier). Nobody at the front desk to talk to. The night itself was rough. The AC was noisy and the room likely had mold somewhere as I started having breathing issues. At 3am we had enough and decided to leave. While packing up, we found a cockroach. Nobody at the front desk to discuss issues with. Never again.

Our room had major damage, a hole in the wall, dirty walls, dirty comforter, and main lights that didn’t work. When we brought it up to management they just told us the room was useable and fine and that they “wouldn’t charge us for damages later”. When trying to check out we had to hunt down someone who worked there to finally give us a receipt. Spent 148 dollars on a dirty and damaged room… not very thrilled.

This hotel is terrible, don’t stay here. They did not have any water, my kids couldn’t swim in the pool because it was disgusting and when you need help there was no one at the front desk.

Checked in, took the kids to the pool, and after less than 10 minutes, we took the kids to change and booked at another hotel! The room was gross and felt dirty, toilet seat was broken, hot tub under construction, and the pool was so full of chemicals or who knows what, that my kids couldn’t breathe or see their dive sticks at the bottom on the shallow end…we ended up leaving some in the pool because they couldn’t see them and they kept saying the pool took their breathe away. The front desk lady was sweet at check in, and when I told her we were leaving and why, she said she’d give us a refund, but I’m not convinced that will happen. Disgusting place and an experience we have never had before.

Wish the hot tub was working pool was alittle too cold.

The pool and small water slide and features are fun...but it looks dirty due to stains I'm sure from over the years. Hot tub was broken at our stay last year and now a big tarp covers it. Pool water is very cold! Our room smelled musty and like stale smoke. This was our 4th stay here and I'm not sure if we'll be back.

Bed was fine. Curtains hanging off track. Carpet in hall stained & dirty. Breakfast good. Gave me the feel of being dirty with dark carpet & stained in areas.

The hotel seemed like they were getting ready to do some renovations, so things weren't as up to date as they could have been. They were doing the best they could. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. We had a good stay.

Front desk was very friendly and it was an okay place to stop before going on to Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Was ok. Clean decent bed. Quiet. Older facility needs updating. Security doors were blocked open and key reader knocked off

The pool.

Room was good! The gentleman that checked us in was excellent! The breakfast was very enjoyable! Only negative was the surrounding driveway and access was very negative in appearance!

Very dirty. Elevator looked like it hadnt been wiped down or cleaned in forever. Same with door glass on exit doors, very dirty and disgusting. Front desk staff was rarely ever to be found if we needed something. Outside property was kind of dirty with over trash also. Bed was comfortable but bed sheets were so stretched out and would not stay on bed! Vacuuming behind room doors and along walls was non existent!!

The bedding was dirty, full of holes/threadbare. The curtains were broken. Screens on windows of the building were flapping broken. The air conditioning in the common areas did not work - it was over 90 degrees outside and close to that inside. The manager on duty was very understanding and good to work with. The building seems to be in general disrepair, both inside and outside. Wish I’d read the reviews prior to booking! Cancelled my room (Expedia was surprisingly great to work with) and went across the street to a much cleaner and less expensive hotel.
