Copley Square Hotel, a FOUND Hotel

The hotel staff was very accommodating, wouldn’t recommend for family to stay here, but probably as a business trip or a couple visiting the city.

The bare minimum was done to update the rooms. The bathroom looked grimy and old. The elevator takes a very long time and gets caught on each floor so you have to press the button over and over. Staff is okay. Our car had things stolen from it when we had it valeted. Waiting to get the car back the next day from valet was over an hour because the call-ahead does not work. All in all, I would not stay here again.

The hotel is in a prime location. Ths room was very noisy from the AC outside. There was no hairdryer. No breakfast was offered for a fee. The whole hotel needs a facelift.

The Copley Square Hotel was a legendary Boston hotel, founded in 1891, that I selected because of its reputation for historical charm and uniqueness. Its location is excellent, ideal for this trip for me. I had stayed there before maybe 15 years ago. But it was terribly disappointing on returning to find that the new management ("Found") has stripped the property completely and given it bare-bones, low-grade motel-like decor and minimal amenities. The front reception area was barren and unwelcoming. All clean, but despite new ownership, one of the two elevators was broken. Once I got to my room, the actual bed was very comfortable and the shape and proportion of the room were still lovely, and probably the new owners had improved stuff like plumbing... but the amenities were so bare-bones there was not even a kettle to heat water in the room. Having to go downstairs to the barren lobby to get to the coffee machine in the morning was really not hospitable. It wasn't the fault of the personnel. The lady who was on duty when I checked in very, very late was very gracious, and I have no complaints at all with the cleanliness and housekeeping of the room. These folks were fine. And I hope the Found management has done some good for the hotel's infrastructure. So I hope they will soon sell it to some other company that recognizes the value of bringing back the historical style and beauty that used to give this hotel its grace. Then I will want to come back again.

This was truly the worst hotel I have stayed in ever!! I have been staying in Boston for a long time and this time it was with my family!! First of all the were not provided amenities in the bathroom like a shower cap!! Next there was black mold in the shower and on top of the ceiling with water makers showing that there were leaking! Next the front end people were not helpful, especially the next day at check out when I had asked for a late check out and was given that but then called because we were stuck at the restaurant and asked for just a half an hour more but was told rudely that I would have a fine then if I was not out by 1:00 I would have to pay 500 more for nothing even though they had plenty of rooms. I have never had to deal with that before at any other hotel. They usually say of yes that would be fine!! It was just a half an hour extra!! Seriously???! I then had to run back to the place only to find that I was locked out of the rooms even though they knew I had not checked out and I was still coming back! I had to take the elevator that took 15 min to come to the lobby then run down the stars to get checked out!! I will never ever be back again to this place!! Oh ya not to mention that the AC would not work even thought outside was the hottest day in Boston in a long time!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!! 0-10 do not recommend!!!!

Great location. Walking distance to restaurants, stores and historical sites. Near Copley Place, which is great for shopping.

Hotel was nice and clean, daily refresh of the room. Room a little tired looking with peeling wallpaper but good amentities including air con and in room fridge. Shower wasnt overly powerful.

The location can't be beat. The room is simple, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. My lower stars are for noise. I could hear neighbors above me and could fully understand my next door neighbor on the phone, as his bed was obviously against the wall with mine. I would stay here again for the price, location, and service, but the noise has to be listed here for an honest review.

Staff was great all around. They held our bag for us during the day after we checked out of our room.

Ideal property to park vehicle and be walking distance to lots. Elevator need serious upgrade, but had the time to make some major decisions from Lobby to 6th floor during our 3-night stay.

Charming and well-located hotel, historic building nicely updated. Friendly staff. A little noisy but didn’t stop me from getting a great night’s sleep in a comfortable bed.

Excellent location

I felt that entrance window could be cleaner, as well as carpeting in foyer ( entrance), & corners of my floor in my bathroom.

Netflix didn’t work AC unit was very loud! The room was quite tired looking, doors in need of pairing and the bathroom was very small in a queen room.

Room clean and nice. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Great location, some drawbacks, ie no restaurant on premises, slow elevator, and only 1.

Terrible management. Needs a lot of maintenance
