Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charleston South, WV

It wasn't dirty but it wasn't that clean. Bits of paper in the floor, a bottle cap, a cigarette next to the bed. Housekeeping definitely needs to do better. No shampoo, empty tissue box, toilet paper was low, no trash can in the bathroom. The issues are small but it doesn't give confidence to the quality of the hotel overall.

Room was clean pool couldn’t even be swam in because of the amounts of chlorine.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. I typically do not write reviews but feel I have to warn others. I can’t believe Radisson has their name on this place. I am done with Radisson. It was very dirty. Our room was 87 degrees when we first got there. It took all night to cool down. One TV wouldn’t turn on and the other most channels don’t work. The breakfast had a refrigerator with yogurt in it still with a sign that it was out of order. The coffee was cold. I think you get the picture.

It was a clean room, quiet, very comfortable bed with feather pillows which I thought was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly. Check in was a breeze and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I just wish it was a bit more clean. when I went to my door there was a vacuum in front of my door. the bathroom was not that clean.

The curtains did not shut so we had to sleep with a lot of street light in the room The drawer was opening on its own from being broke or something and the room felt very shady.

Super friendly front desk clerk. Always is a plus. Good value!

The hotel was very dirty. Front desk did not answer phone. Tried to use the text feature. Answer from text was, sorry, desk will respond. No response. No blanket. Worst place I jave ever stayed at.

The hotel employees was amazing. Unfortunately we reserved a suite and tje suite had no door to the bedroom which was very disappointing for me and my husband since we like to have separate space sometimes in tje morning. The bath tube was dirty. The cable on the tv in the bedroom keep going in and out of service. We was in town to visit family and we just stayed at this same name hotel and it was AMAZING!!

A wonderful place to stay

The rooms appeared clean, but the beds did not have mattress pads on them. There was mold forming in the bathroom and wallpaper starting to peel off. The hallway and elevator floors were in definite need of attention. The lobby was clean.

The staff seemed sweet and were attentive. The room smelled somewhat smoky although sign said non smoking building. The lampshades by the beds were mismatched. The TV was outdated and only got few main channels. They only left decaf coffee in my room. After going to the breakfast area, they only had one type of creamer, hazelnut. Lots of it but no other creamer.. not even regular or half and half. All in all it was fine for a night of sleep while traveling but glad I was only there one night.

We checked in on January 14. Front desk employee was very kind and welcoming. Upon checking into the room, we found the floors extremely dirty. The beds/frame slid all over the floor which made tons of crumbs and debris go all over. The TV remote didn’t work. And when turning it on manually, the channels said they were all unavailable. Pool seemed ok, but extremely outdated. Hot tub was there last time we stayed here, but gone this time. The biggest issue was waking up in the night to use the bathroom. I came back to the bed to find multiple either roaches or juvenile bed bugs on the night stand. And upon getting into the bed, found one bed bug. I took pictures and let the front desk know first thing in the morning. The employee at the desk said her manager would be in soon. I came back later and the “manager” was apologetic, but unhelpful. Didn’t offer any compensation. I tripled bagged our clothes, showered and left. They took my information down, but said they need to have maintenance expect the room in order to move forward. I was so grossed out. I have stayed here 4 times. I’m not sure if it has new management or what, but this past experience was nothing like what I’ve had in the past. Very disappointing. I plan to call for an update soon.

This was a good hotel for a 1-night stay

Check in and out was easy and the front desk persons were friendly. The room was okay for an overnight. It was clean enough and the bed was okay. The personal hygiene bottles in the bath were all empty. The pipes or something with the plumbing made a terrible noise when the shower was turned on. Breakfast consisted of waffles, nothing else. Cereal but no milk. A couple of bagels and a few slices of bread were put out, didn’t look very fresh. Evidently the supply truck has not been there in a few days so they were out of most things.

Very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast with eggs, biscuits and gravy and waffles! Great stay!

I wasn’t pleased with my stay. It was just ok. The bed was uncomfortable. The walls were dirty. The toilet clogged. It sounded like an elephant was walking above us. The breakfast was limited. I had to wait 10 minutes to check in. The hall was always wet from people tracking pool water. Positives: staff was friendly, plenty of outlets.

We chose this property last minute based on traveling with our pets. Which they were very accommodating. Upon check in we met Susan, who was absolutely amazing. Even though there was a clear breakdown in communication between the housekeeping staff and the front desk! After walking into our 1st room it was clearly not turned over. So Susan quickly got us the next room on the list when we walked into this room it also was not cleaned! Went to the front desk to find that multiple others were having the same issues with their rooms. Susan offered to cleaned the room for us, however, my wife and I opted to collect new bedding, towels, disinfectant, soaps, and other cleaning supplies and we cleaned the room ourselves. Outside of making a good choice on your front desk attendant, the hotel is obviously mismanaged! Had it not been a long day of travel, Susan’s amazing ability to handle an obviously overwhelming situation, and having to find a place that accepted our three mini dachshunds, we would have left after the first room no questions asked!!

I booked a two queen bed room. It wasn’t ready and we checked in at 6:00 PM. We took the king pull out couch option. The pull out bed was super uncomfortable! There were no extra pillows or blankets in the room. It was noisy, we could hear people talking in the hallway. It was in a sketchy.
