Crowne Plaza Resort ASHEVILLE by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Specifically booked this hotel because of the attached spa, so was disappointed to discover that it was closed indefinitely. There are still signs on the property pointing you towards it which is also confusing. The shower handle broke off when we turned it on, and other fixtures in the room were loose/broken. Not a bad stay, but you don't get a lot for the price.

They are dog friendly! The beds are super comfortable and the AC is ice cold. There are doors to an outside patio and you can park your car in front of your room. We stayed on the bottom floor which made it much easier to walk our dog.. will come back to stay while in Asheville again.

Front desk staff was overwhelmed by a meeting going on and having multiple issues with keys not working, booked room next to pool and found out after checking in that it was closed so very disappointed as it was extort and we were looking forward to a swim before bed

The place is beautiful. The ziplines, a bonus. The restaurant and bar staff, best I've met. The front desk staff could benefit from some social development. My room was beautiful, had a balcony, and probably the best bed and pillows I've ever experienced in a hotel. The room could have been cleaned better before I checked in. There was hair in the shower and a pair of socks from the previous occupant left in the room.

Nice hotel with nice ambiance. Would have given higher rating but restaurant food was quite average. Personnel were very friendly, from check-in to check out. Golf course was fun and very reasonably priced.

Great resort!

The restaurant was good, the buffet breakfast had many good choices, and the regular menu must also very good. The service was fair at best, I actually had a waitress, instead of apologizing in saying she was sorry, tell me I had ordered chips with my sandwich, which I never ever would do. Room 170 was actually OK, except for I paid to get a room with a balcony and I got a room with a porch where people walk 3 feet away from us often. That was very disappointing, I paid for it and never used it. We had to return to the desk three times to have the key card reprogrammed because it failed. That’s a walk down the hall await for an elevator across the skywalk to the front desk and a return trip… Three times. You’re the Crowne Plaza, fix the problem. The amenities seemed great, but nobody explained anything to us when we checked in. I saw the golf, I saw a zip lines, but nobody told me anything about any of them. Were they free? Do I have to pay? How do I do it? Nothing. The room is nice, dated, the chair and ottoman were stained.

Honestly very disappointing. The lobby was gorgeous and staff was very nice when we checked in, but the room was gross. It was extremely musty and moist. The linens felt wet to the touch. And when mentioned to the staff the next day they were very rude about it. The rooms seem like they have been forgotten about and not updated in the last 15 years. Inside the rooms was more of a outdated motel then the nice experience that is advertised. Would not return.

This is the perfect spot to stay for a trip to Asheville! Centrally located with beautiful grounds and vistas. The breakfast included with our stay was outstanding, with different offerings each day. Staff was superb. My only criticism was thry didn't appear to recycle.

Upon check-in we were assigned to an undesirable room were families of sports teams were staying. The floor had many children in the hall being children. My wife and I left our teenaged children for peace and quiet which did not appeared that we were going to get. After voicing the concern, we were then offered a quieter floor. In addition, the breakfast was terrible! The hot food was cold and the selection was poor. You will have a better breakfast at McDonald’s.

Enjoyed our stay! The pool was nice the lobby is so pretty! The strawberry/ blueberry water amazing!

Check in staff was a bit rude on 7/6. The bartender on 7/6 and wait staff (Teresa) were amazing. Trivia night was GREAT! The room lights (lamps) were not all working. The toilet chain broke in the middle of the night. We had to go to the lobby to use the bathroom. The hotel grounds are so beautiful. The views are tranquil. Overall, the hotel seems to have been "the place to stay" in years past. Sadly, now the rooms need some TLC
