DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Tucson Airport

I just wish hotel shoes little more recent pictures on the website. To show how outdated it got. It was clean. Staff were very kind. Just for Hilton it was very outdated.

A hot night of 80 plus degrees and no working air conditioning because is controlled by the property and not by every room , we couldnt sleep the whole nite and exausted by morning , all this for over 200 bucks , never again .. also huge property and only 1 elevator working ..

I loved the full breakfast and the kind and professional staff in the dinning area. In room 109 there was a stinky odor when we opened the door, we heard loud flushing from other guest rooms when toilets were flushed, carpet burns, and we had to hold the toilet handle down in order to flush the toilet.

Hotel was good in Gerald albeit they need to purchase new mattresses as the current ones are like sleeping in a hammock.

The pool was cleaned every morning but I wish it was heated slightly more.

Lovely place however was a bit chilli in the room but lovely relaxing stay

The dates furniture and things being broken let this place down. It’s a great location & the staff were fantastic and very polite and friendly. The kids screaming and running up and down the aisles was not great at night when you are trying to relax. The facilitys looked ok, didn’t use as it was too cold. But saw many people in the hot tub. The restaurant on site was helpful but very expensive. It is not worth the price at all for the suite, no cutlery offered or plates.

Loved Mikki is the restaurant. Very welcoming and great customer service. Property was dirty. Breakfast was only buffet and wasn't very appealing. Staff was great!!

Doubletree Suites was found to be in average condition but a stretch for the money. All furniture, bathroom (toilet, sink), garment closet and tv's were quite old. Many of the drawers to vanity, dresser did not work properly. Space within bathroom (toilet & shower) was tiny and you virtually could not even bend over. Carpet is ready for replacement and room door shutters lacking. Yet, it was safe and convenient in terms of the reason for being there.

The property is clean outside and rooms are spacious. . However it needs a good cleaning walls restroom doors. It looks very dingy. Could definitely use some Clorox. Another issue was very dark and lonely roads to get there. The airport is literally right across the street. We heard planes take off all night, elevator made loud noise when going up and down all night and vehicles driving on the street. Our room happened to be next to one of the entrance gates, which slammed each and every time someone came in and out. The hotel staff was very nice and assisted me with compensation with no trouble. Breakfast 👎 but the waffle house is up the street. The area seemed deserted from the back of the hotel where our room was located.

Air conditioner didn’t work. Bathroom was dirty.

Spencer is a delight. He is in training and was killing it with what he knew and would bring in management when needed. He was thrown a ton of curveballs. The driver of the shuttle was also awesome. That being said, the phone in our room didn’t work; the TV didn’t operate according to advertised / what the remote had available; the remote didn’t have a back so batteries kept falling out; the cabinet door to the fridge was broken; the walls had clear evidence of water damage as did the ceilings; the bathroom tub had intense scuffs; the grout around the toilet looked like someone had just pissed on it and never cleaned; the heat wasn’t truly working to keep us warm in 35 degree weather; once I got the phone working (only on speaker) room service never picked up - even when management transferred me; and check in was very dramatic with problems with other guests (not their fault) but as a Hilton member the check in was poor.

This is an affordable option for the size of the suite. However the amenities are worn, furniture, carpet, and cabinetry can benefit from replacement. Hot tub, and pool is nice and the common areas are outside are very nice. For the price, this is a great deal with how large the suite is. For the 4 of us, we would have needed a second room at a regular hotel.

It worked.

The stay was functional.
