Econo Lodge Black Hills

The room was comfortable and beds clean, but overall the hotel was run down, the hot tub was only half full and not hot, the waterslide was shut down early, and the continental breakfast barely had any food. We asked for a roll away bed which when brought to us was a very old ripped mattress with mouse droppings and seeds folded up in it like a critter had been living there. We obviously refused to use it.

Room was clean. Bedding, tables and the floors were clean. However phone in room was disconnected and not able to be connected that I could find and hair dryer did not work. No shampoo/conditioner. Heater buttons broken so could not turn heat down. Did share with front staff. Hopefully they take care of it.

They were very rude, and tried to get extra money out of us for absolutly no reason

The ice machine was not working, the furniture was not in good condition, the facet leaked in the bathroom

Tub and sink didn’t drain well. Water barely hot enough to shower. Hit and miss on friendliness of the staff. Never cleaned room during a three day stay. Continental breakfast was a complete joke. People hitting you up for money as you walked out the front doors of the hote. The coffee was good though!

Room was nice, property was under construction, but worked for a quick stay.

The pool was drained, all doors going outside were locked from the inside except the lobby door to go outside. The guy at the front desk was normally missing. Our room didn’t even have a fan in the bathroom, and the bed sheets did not look very clean.

I wouldn’t stay there ever again.

Horrible experience. The staff was unhelpful and double charged me. When I told them immediately they argued even while I was literally showing them my credit card statement on my phone. All the exits were sealed shut and labeled “out of order” except the main door which is a massive fire hazard.

Needed to stay for a couple days, just needed the room. From what i saw building looks old, none of side doors would work, inconvenient only entrance by main lobby. Overall needs upgrade all aroun.

The pool was closed. The tv didn't work took them 3 visit to the front desk. The heat did not work, had to bring me a space heater.

Terrible service pretty sure there’s bedbugs from the exoskeletons I saw in corners that clearly hadn’t been cleaned and spots on the beds

Dated, obviously recent repairs done badly, pool non working, outside door looked to have had locks repeatedly replaced and staff warned of break in’s from outside doors

Didn't have rooms and they wanted us to share bathroom with others

We came out for a family trip. Upon entering the hotel smelled. Finally got to our room the key cards didn’t work so had to get new ones. After entering the room it looked like the room had been opened with a crow bar. The bathroom tub was dirty, the ceiling looked horrible you could see where they tried to fix thing and just through putty over holes. The floor was not clean. And when inspection of the bed was done found hair and dirt in one. When I complained I was told the sheets were just stained. I still requested clean sheets. The curtains had food stains and rips. And the most uncomfortable beds. The biggest let down was the hot tub was broken but when I checked in was advised it worked. The gentleman presented to try and fix it to which his solution was to get in the regular pool. The next day I learned from staff it hasn’t been working for a while but the sign keeps being taken down. The only good part of the stay was they had a decent breakfast and I did receive a small refund.

We rented the room thinking the pool was working. It doesn't say anywhere online that is out of order. So it is a bummer cuz we really just got a room to go swimming.

The hotel was dirty, smelled. A fire alarm near by had dying batteries so beeped all night and all day. There was a wasp in my room and they squished it against the wall. Gross.
