Fairbanks Extended Stay

Lady who checked us in was great. Few issues with rooms like couple of bulbs are out, bathroom door doesnt close and make squeaking noise and bed was the same noisy as well. Other then that it was great.

Need handicapped rails in tubs Be nice for us older folks if the elevator worked It was very confusing to call yourselves Fairbanks Extended Stay with no mention or link of the address being for Seven Gables.

A late booking for a three day stay, at a considerable lower amount than the nearby local hotels. Ample parking, quiet and a very clean room, though slightly on the basic side. The room temperature controls were defective but a nice large fan was stored in the wardrobe which was kept in while occupying the room. The ceiling fan also helped a little. That said, I still felt I wasn’t getting value for money. If I was willing to spend more per night at least I’d get a breakfast and a reasonable a/c that worked. Would I stay again, yes definitely if all the other hotels were more expensive.

The check in was horrible. Last-minute instruction to check in at one building in our room at another and we had to walk to it at midnight. Very little cell reception so getting a notice via email doesn’t work.

Adorable location and such a welcoming vibe! The staff were all incredibly nice, and what really made my day was that they gave my furbaby a little treat baggie—so thoughtful! It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home, whether you’re human or furry. Highly recommend!

The room was relatively clean except for the chair pictured. The mattress was not good and made a lot of noise. The young lady who I got the key from was very nice. But I did not feel comfortable there. We had to stay 1 night but found another place to stay for the next 2 nights.

I guess you get what you pay for. It was rough having to climb two flights of stairs with luggage. Definitely could use some new comforters. Pretty dingy property.

Extremely clean and excellent customer service!

The place is nothing like they say it is. The outer potion of the property is dirty, Hallways dirty and honestly the inside was clean but you have to walk through the dirty to get to the room. It also said it had continental breakfast… lies there is no breakfast.

This inn doesn't look so bad to me. This map that I was given during my check in made it easy to locate the place that I saw a picture of it. This room that I got in looks pretty clear to me, except that this TV doesn't have most of the apps which I expected it to be, so I added those apps on the TV.

Like the March 17 writer we saw drug activity in the parking lot. Creepy building and area. We left after one night bec it didn't feel safe. I don't know who wrote all those glowing reviews, but that's not the place we saw. No security on outer door. No staff on site; they are several blocks away at a different property. We stayed one night because we had nowhere else to go; didn't sleep a wink. Forfeited our second night's payment and went elsewhere.

This property was close to the area of town I needed to be in daily. The room was clean, the staff was courteous. When I need to come back up here, I will definitely book here again.

At first I was skeptical bc after I made the reservation I was sent a message I pick up the key @ One location “then drive to the Annex” to my room. Being from the lower 48~ I’ve never experienced that before. But I went with it. It was easy to find the main hotel & the owner was there with the key even thought it was 2:30 A.M.. he explained the annex was around he corner (not far) and even showed me a clear photo of what door to go in & which way my room would be. My room was EXCELLENT. Kitchenette , COMFY Bed. QUIET. Looking Forward to Next Years visit!!!

Had everything a home would have.

This hotel had no working elevator we were on the second floor. The floors were dirty. Hotel did not look like a hotel not very well kept up wouldn’t stay there again.

This is a very scary place and we refused to stay here. Rusted chairs in front of rusted door. Place is a dump! Definitely do not recommend!

I think the hotel was good value for the money, but I think the one thing I would improve is the comfort of the beds.

Needs some TLC to sharpen up. Workmanship in craft ship is lacking. Sabine money is importan but present ability goes a long way in the details.

I am writing to give you one final opportunity to address the unacceptable conditions at your property before I move forward with posting detailed public reviews on Yelp, Google, and other platforms. Let me be clear: the room I was given was not what I agreed to. I specifically requested a ground-level room, not one that’s basement level. When I raised concerns—starting with a bug issue—you deflected, offered no real solution, and tried to blame me for switching rooms. That alone is frustrating. But it gets worse. The television doesn’t work. The window doesn’t shut properly and left me freezing. The furniture in the room leans inward as if the foundation is sinking. Above the main entrance, there’s a piece of plywood that isn’t even secured—just flapping around in the wind. The overall condition of the property is careless and frankly unsafe. To make matters worse, I noticed that the sprinkler heads have been painted over—which is a serious fire code violation and explicitly not allowed by safety standards. Painting sprinkler heads can delay or prevent them from activating during a fire. That puts everyone at risk. I’m also disabled and told you I was exhausted, yet the only alternative offered was a room at another location with steps—again, not helpful or appropriate. Your unwillingness to accommodate basic requests, let alone meet minimum safety and cleanliness standards, is both negligent and unacceptable. I had emergency gallbladder surgery the next day

Great Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Easy Check-In I had a great experience at this hotel. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff honored my request for a top-floor room. The hotel has been recently remodeled, and it really shows—everything was clean, modern, and comfortable. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere and well-kept facilities. Would definitely stay again!
