This was only my second time staying in an historic residence and I loved it! The valet parking made it especially pleasant, taking away the hastle of parking. The only sad thing is that, looking through the window, the view is covered by wires, thousands of them. It's depressing they can't be hidden underground.

The hotel location is perfect for a weekend in historic Annapolis . The restaurant no longer operates and the bar is ok but not great . The room was nice considering its historic age so adjust your expectations

After having recently visited Newport, Cape May, Savanah and Charleston, I was surprised by how the hotel lobby and elevators were so dated. It made me think that Annapolis isn't doing all that well in the tourism area to bring in the money to keep the fantastic historic hotels looking amazing. Bed was really comfortable and our room was nice.

The hotel was very conveniently located near everything in downtown Annapolis. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The windows in my room did not face the street or anything outside, we had a view of a common area in the lobby. It made the room dark, but it would not stop me from staying there again. I would just request a room with a street view.

No way this place could be better located for a tourist visit to Annapolis--or even for business with the State of MD, for that matter. For the price it's an excellent value and it is, after all, an "Historic Inn." I only rated it down from five stars for two things: 1. the electric outlets on the front of the table need to be replaced--so worn they don't work. And, 2. despite the briefing at the desk and the map we were given, we were very confused about finding our building and the entrance to it. After that, all was fine.
