Great.

Location of this hotel is fabulous. It is within walking distance to downtown and the farmer's market is fantastic. The hotel is updated and modern. However, the chairs are all straight back so don't expect a comfy sitting area in the lobbies (or the rooms). Very clean, and staff was very friendly.

The condition of the room—particularly the bathtub—was extremely disappointing. It was very dirty, and when I asked the manager to have someone clean it, I was told that no one was currently available. Both the manager and staff were unhelpful and quite rude. I called the reception to report the issue and asked if someone could come up to see the condition of the room. They responded that they were very busy but would send someone shortly. However, after waiting for over an hour, no one showed up. When I eventually went down to the lobby, I found both the receptionist and the man I had previously spoken with sitting idly, using their phones—clearly not busy. After some insistence, the person who called himself the manager reluctantly came with me to the room, where I showed him the visible hair and dirt in the bathtub. His response was that all the rooms are old and not in great condition. This level of service is unacceptable, and the response I received only added to the disappointment of the stay. I went for breakfast in the morning, after I ate, they charge me $16, and said that the breakfast was not included in the room fee, whereas I checked it with the receptionist when I checked in the day before!! Apparently, she forgot to mention it!

The staff was super nice. The Hotel not so much. Apparently they’re plenty to remodel it, so I guess they’re not maintaining it. I was only there one night. Wasn’t a big deal.

there was not sufficient parking in the parking lot and we had to find a spot on the street. Also the shower in her room look like it was halfway through a remodel.

The rooms need some renovation (especially their bathroom).

Hotel was clean and modern. Desk staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Good proximity to campus and to great restaurants in the downtown Lafayette area.

Bathroom sink drain was not working Floor was dirty. I expected better from Holiday Inn since I stayed at other branches and have always been satisfied with them

The property is conveniently located near Purdue’s campus. It has many dining options nearby. We always enjoy staying here. Quiet and clean.

The hotel is centrally located and renovated. There is a beautiful lobby with a central staircase. Some of the front desk staff were excellent going out of their way to be helpful. They accommodated an unusual request to use a conference room for a couple of hours to conduct a podcast. The staff in the dining room (breakfast) was also very courteous. Unfortunately, I was told by a cleaning staff that they had cleaned our room (special request because we had the do not disturb sign all morning) and I even gave her a tip only to find out later that the bathroom had not been cleaned at all--only the bed had been made. It was a disappointing note in an otherwise excellent stay. Also, I recommend that the hotel make sure the shower curtains are long enough--ours was short and got the whole room wet. I intend to stay here again though because for the most part, it was a very pleasant stay and the location can't be beat.

The lobby was lovely and I was able to have a late dinner and a drink and unwind however, the room smelled like dirty stinky feet. It was too late for me to rectify the situation and I fell asleep. However, I dreamed of smelling, horrible smells, and when I told The checkout person, he said, sorry that was it. I expected some sort of discount or credit. Although I liked the location, I will most likely not stay there again.

Most things were updated except the bathrooms were horrible.

Check in was smooth, but upon entering room, it was clear that the room had not been used in a while. I was greeted with stale air and the fridge was unplugged. I could not figure out how to work the heat/fan - none of the buttons worked. It obviously took several hours to get the fridge cold so it could keep my drinks/food cold, which was inconvenient. This made the premium I paid for a local hotel to not be worth it. The experience reminded me of the Seinfeld episode about the reservation. They took my reservation, but did nothing to prepare for my arrival. That thought, at least, made me smile.

Everything was good at this property except the bathroom - shower looked moldy.

I’ll start by saying the staff was pretty good. However, the room was really bare (no pictures, drapes, etc.). Made it feel unfinished. The sink was clogged with hair when we checked in. There was black hair stuck to the shower wall - which was gross! The shower was poorly planned & water went everywhere (no door, where the shower head was, etc.). The shower wall was also peeling. It looked terrible & made us feel gross taking a shower since we wanted out as soon as possible. There was something wrong with the toilet also. Either it would t flush, or if you were lucky to get it to flush, it kept flushing continuously for almost 5 minutes -we timed it. Clearly the maintenance & housekeeping were the biggest negatives. I would t stay there again. It wasn’t even remotely close to being worth the rates they charged. There are other places there-I’d recommend staying somewhere else. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. It’s a shame since the lobby, lobby bar, and the rest of the hotel looked nice. It was a shock to see how bad the room was after seeing the rest of the hotel.

Upon initial appearances, beautiful. Was even more intriguing for us to have a restaurant on site. Only to find that the restaurant was operational for breakfast, not included and $15.00 each adult. Bar was open and has a very limited stocked snack store. We initially booked a standard King room and received a standard double queen, with horrible bathroom conditions. The tubs in both our room and our familys' rooms were peeling off pieces that had been attempted to be covered. The toilet hadnt been cleaned and our room was missing a closet door and contained 4 hangars. Their is no microwave, but a fridge with no freezer. There is not a guide or pamphlet for the tv, making finding a channel a bit 80s. Paying what we did to receive what we did was not worth it. Our view was the roof and brick and the beds are not something you would want to sleep on. Dont worry, you can ease your aches in the morning with a hot shower and great pressure while you wait for the the 1st gen Keurig to get ready.
