Check in went smoothly. Hotel needs to be updated, but you can’t beat a hotel with a tub and hot water!

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The room was spotless, which made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to assist us, offering friendly recommendations for a fantastic dinner spot and tips for visiting Big Sur. Their kindness truly enhanced our trip.

Started the stay with excellent service! Hailey at the front desk was informative and kind. Free breakfast was great! Also, 2 wine glasses were complimentary for adults. Room felt very comfortable and clean. Would definitely come back here.

The front desk was so helpful. We were going to launch a kayak and they took the time to show us on a map their favorite spots to park and launch. The hot tub was spacious, there were 2 other couples and we did not feel cramped at all. There are also many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel (Pizza, Chinese, Thai, Sandwiches, café). Getting to the Old Fisherman Warf was just down the street and Cannery Row was easy to get to (both by car).

Overall hotel is great with great helpful staff especially the bartender and great location we walked to downtown to Alvarado and had great options to eat. Walked down more and hit the fisherman wharf. Room was nice and clean. The only thing is the pool was not heated and breakfast was honestly mid. But still better than going out and buying breakfast somewhere else.

This hotel was a complete bait and switch. My fiancé and I were looking for a nice hotel to end our long trip, specifically one with a tub to soak in. We chose this place because it advertised a deep tub in the premier king room, plus it had a fireplace! However, our experience began to go downhill as soon as we arrived. First, we discovered that the elevator buttons didn’t all light up when pressed. While it was unnerving, the elevator did eventually move. When we got to our room, it was average for what we expected from their top-tier offering, and, disappointingly, the tub was missing. I went to the front desk to discuss the situation and request a room with the tub we had paid for. The woman at the desk offered a half-hearted apology, stated that a room with a tub wasn’t available, and then quickly moved on to assist the next guest. Later that night, we tried to use the fireplace in our room, but it barely lit. Once again, the staff was unhelpful in resolving the issue. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel! It's not worth paying a premium for such a disappointing experience!

The staff were great and the hotel is nice. But when two features of the hotel are not working, and you don’t learn this until arrival, I don’t think it was worth the nightly premium to stay here versus somewhere else. The pool was NOT heated and that was the reason that made me choose this hotel. And the second feature, the fireplace in our room also did not work. There were no towels in the pool area and the towels from the room are quite threadbare. And guests who don’t clean up after themselves - the pool area had towels and empty drinking glasses all over the place in the morning; its just rude.

Sheets had holes. Poop covered toilet paper was left in the toilet. The sink was clogged I mentioned this to the front desk and all they said oh sorry did not try to make it right in anyway very sad how bad employees can ruin such a beautiful hotel and business very very sad

Honestly a good stay for young adults

We received a warm greeting from the staff upon check-in and a very lively lobby with all the guests enjoying the complimentary wine. Our room was very spacious and clean. And I actually liked the complimentary conditioner and other toiletries. Definitely a step up from the others. This will be our go-to while visiting the Monterey area.
