La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham at WaTiki Waterpark

Very clean, comfortable beds,place to walk my dog, great pizza, and helpful service. Wish all the Laquinta hotels were like yours!

Good for families with kids! Too crowded in water park though. 4 hotels for the one park is too much. Never enough places to sit. Staff was very nice though!

Pros- great hot breakfast, amazing water park, conveniently located very close to several fast food restaurants and a couple gas stations. Rooms are very spacious. Hotel restaurant is very reasonable for a food place attached to a water park hotel. Cons- parking can be difficult to find at night and we stayed during week days. Also the carpet must be very thin because it sounded like a herd of elephants above us. Every time they moved we could hear it like they were stomping. Very hard to sleep. Thankfully we only had to deal with those people one night.

Staff was not very friendly. We had trouble multiple times with our room key and water park bracelets working. We asked to have our room cleaned 1 time in a 4 night stay and a note was left that it couldn't be cleaned. We had to go to the lobby to get toilet paper. The water park is nice and connected to the hotel. Seating is limited with other hotels allowed to use the water park also. There was washers and dryers available for use, which became very handy. You do have to use a credit card to pay for them.

Loved the waterpark! Was always great having to have that as it was raining during our trip! Only real downfall was shower water was not as hot as I would’ve liked it!

We were visiting our military family who have just moved to the area and wanted a fun place to go after a busy and emotional move. This fit every wish we had! the hotel staff was very helpful and informative- especially Montana at the front desk. The room was clean and very comfy. We had everything we needed. The waterpark attached was easy to get to and the winter hours still in effect, worked well for our schedule. As stated in other reviews, we were impressed with the breakfast. Although it was the usual waffles, eggs, biscuits etc... the 2 staff people who were serving went above and beyond in help and friendliness. We have frequently stayed at other La Quinta hotels, but this one was a notch above

Room was nice and clean. Hallways and rooms above made it sound like a herd of cattle running through. Bed was a bit had but it works. Lady that checked on us left something to be desired.

The waterpark was perfect for allowing the kids to roam while parents relaxed. Small enough to keep an eye on them, friendly for all ages. Great water slides. The hotel was CLEAN and welcoming. Close to the freeway. Central location approx 30 to 40 minutes from everything. We were ar Mt Rushmore one day, Custer State park the next, and Deadwood another.

I like first floor. But didn’t like pool closes at 9 only had hour to swim.

I did not like that the pool closed at 9. There was only one person checking in Friday night. It took a long time to check our rooms in for several families. Our kids did not get to swim very long.

We had the room next door to the mechanical room and it was loud and noisy all night long. I barely got any sleep from my long 2600 mile trip. It was supposed to be my stop and rest point. That was the only issue I had everything else was great!

Pet exercise area was right outside door but could have been cleaned up and a couple of bench’s would be nice. Keys didn’t work on second evening and had to wait for quite a bit to get new ones. The breakfast area was very clean. Hospitality were nice.

First room the overpowering stench of aninal urine the moment you opened the door about knocked us off our feet. We went down to request a different room and they said they wanted to see the room, so we walked down while he grabbed a bottle of carpet deodorizer. We explained no amount of spray on a carpet was going to fix it, when the worker opened the door he stepped back several feet as the smell hit him and gave us a new room. As we were grabbing our bags to move rooms we noticed dirty handprints on the bed' clearly the bedding wasnt washed. Then in the new room which was clean and fresh smelling they gave new new cards out to someone else for our room. Met him in the hallway. Then we had to have our cards reprogrammed every day because they quit working to open our door. Then they had a toilet paper shortage and were out of toilet paper for the property. Then the water park bands were not programmed. Didnt stock enough towels for even one nights stay in the room. Then when we went to leave we found hair bands that weren't ours in the bedding. The lemon water was old in the lobby. The receipt we received has our name on it but the wrong address, completely different amount.
