Hotel was very nice. Served the purpose for a weekend. Keep in mind this is not on the campus, It’s about 10 minutes away. Also, if you get free breakfast, it’s a continental breakfast. There is an up charge for a “real” breakfast.

Marriot syracuse downtown is a nice old building that has done a good job in making the building look like an old rustic bulding but with many modern features. The downside to the hotel was that several of the curtains were ripped up getting to our room, the toilet paper roll holder would fall off the wall when you would use. Kids running up and down the halls causing loud noises on one of our nights also half the television channels in the guide that said were available simply would not load. We chose marriot because we expected a certain level of upkeep and quality to the rooms. the marriot and the room simple felt old and dishevelled and that things might fall apart of you simply used them incorrectly.

Loud music until almost 2 am and the hallways smelled like pot. What a waste of a night off with my family. Bathroom floor was also visibly dirty. Parking garage is across the street which made it a pain to get everything to the room.
