Great Hotel..Staff is superb..Front Desk Staff especially Chandler & Cutter are magnificent..always go above and beyond and the reason i will continue to return

Dirty….

Came into town to visit with friends and family. Only stayed for one night. We got into town late, had that have not been the case, we would have changed hotels. The outside sidewalks leading to the front were all damp and covered in slippery slime. There was condensation of some sort dripping onto us as we walked along the front of the building. Once inside, the entry had a foul smell. The hotel is under some sort of "renovation" (though I cannot tell you what) so we were directed to the service elevators in order to access the floor our room was on. It left the feeling that someone was going to jump out of one of the dark corners and attack us at any given moment. There were random piles of trash and empty boxes laying around, just thrown into random places. Our room was horrible. You could literally see into the hallway from the large gap between the door and trim all around as well as under the door. The showerhead was broken and sprayed a stinging mist. We went to get ice, but the ice machine on our floor was obviously broken. When I called down to the service desk to see where another ice machine may be located, i was told there is a working ice machine on each floor and the phone hung up. The pillows were all matted and completely lumped up. We went to Hemmingway Cafe' on the way out the following morning. The breakfast was okay. The wall fountain in the cafe was broken and was just dripping water down the wall, which was covered in algae.

The elevator was broke had to use the service elevator and that took anywhere from 6 to 10 mins to come and go a real inconvenience and then you asked for $100 deposit also not good at all

Housekeeping left their cleaning towel on the night stand, carpet not vacuumed, no air conditioning in the hallways, broken elevators (had to use stairs or very old service elevator) make up smeared on wall near light switch. Lotions and soaps on counter scatter around and lotion used. Shower was very moldy/outdated. Very disappointed as the pictures for the hotel on Expedia painted a very different picture of the condition of the hotel.

The woman who checked me in on Thursday afternoon (9/11/2025) was pleasant and professional. That's about where the positive experience ended. Upon walking to my room, all I could smell in the courtyard and hallways of the hotel was cigarette smoke and the very strong odor of marijuana. Bags of food trash lined the hallway in front of nearly every room...and were still there the next day. Do not let the pictures on the website fool you, this property looks nothing like what is being presented. You will not feel safe on this property, especially if you have to go retrieve something from your car in the parking lot at night. I can not reiterate how thick the smell of cigarette smoke and marijuana was enough, it was so thick in the hallways that it permeated through the walls & door into my room. The final icing on the cake for my stay was noticing used condoms & wrappers behind the nightstand next to the bed in my room (358). I have pictures of the condoms incase proof is needed. Hands down the worst and most unsafe hotel experience I have ever had.

The only thing that needs improvement is the smell upon entering the hotel; it has an old odor.

The main elevator was not working

This is an older hotel that was recently renovated. It was clean and very well staffed with attentive employees. The breakfast was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

Elevators were down but staff was great!! The agent Mark Louise was awesome had everything done 100%!!

Had a blast. The hotel was very nice and definitely homey feeling. The staff was exceptional especially Keith. Thanks for all your help! Absolutely loved the king Tower rooms. Beautiful view.

I’m extremely disappointed in the appearance of the hotel. There were spider webs on the light fixtures heavy dust and mold around the plugs in the hallway and an overwhelming smell of wet carpet! My allergies became so bad I couldn’t sleep and now I am sick! I’m extremely disappointed in this hotel it use to be so nice!
