The Montvale is a great, classic hotel. It is literally across the street from our concert venue. Would definitely come again.

Good

Here quite often. I like how it was restored in a classy old-fashioned way. I would like to see more deli/vending options. There is nowhere on site to get water, Gatorade, a cold beer, snacks, etc. late at night without walking a few blocks through downtown Spokane to a a mini mart.

Great Stay.

Overall good stay. Montvale very walkable to surrounding downtown area. Clean rooms. Nice seating area with coffee provided on second floor.

The staff was helpful and polite. The room was incredible, with great views of the city and a very comfortable bed.

I had a nice stay. Older place that is well maintained. Quiet, clean, safe with friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoy the Montvale & the Ruby Hospitality group in all. The Montvale is so nice & clean and smells amazing! All the Ruby employees we have dealt with have been very nice and very professional. We ALWAYS try to stay at a Ruby property when in Spokane for events

It feels like there is no sound insulation in the wall between the rooms. We heard a lot.

Outstanding

The hotel is in downtown Spokane. Many nice restaurants in walking distance, as well as the river park. Bed was nice and soft. It was annoying, though, that it didn't have Netflix. That said, not a biggie. Would stay there again. Spokane was dope.

The Montvale was/is a nice find. It’s at the edge of downtown, on a quiet street. Recently renovated, the quasi-Victorian colors can skew a bit pink, but stepping out of the elevator into the lovely atrium is a treat. There are comfortable seats to lounge in with friends and soak up the mellow atmosphere. The staff are friendly and happy to help: we had a couple of packages delivered there, and they were waiting for us at check in. The car park is not big enough, and is first come, first park. That said, legal street parking is easy, and pretty cheap. We brought our old greyhound and had to sign a very stern document (and pay a fee) to get her in, but after that there was no fuss. Grass is at a premium in the town center - but the waterfront park and trail is close, and lovely.

Great location. Cool historic building and decor. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and the sunlit common area with coffee was perfect.

Hard to even mention anything after an otherwise perfect stay, but the floors can be a bit creaky if you have some… larger night-walker guests above you. Not terrible but enough to be a little annoying. Other than that, a wonderful hotel. Definitely would still recommend.

Its quirky, the walls are super thin, its an old building so thats to be expected. Woke up to the sound of a dog barking morning one, then the sound of my neighbor showering like they were in my room night two. The staff was very polite and kind, the location is great, the neighboring restaurants were bomb. Would go back probably

We enjoyed our stay at Montvale. Cool, historic hotel with lots to do close by. Staff was friendly and property has lots of amenities. The atrium area is a great place to enjoy coffee and read. Also enjoyed the fitness center. Would recommend and would stay again if in the area.

A male staff member kindly explained things to me in an easy-to-understand manner, as I am not good at English.

Absolutely love love this hotel! Very unique experience lovely super comfortable rooms. I will definitely stay again whenever I can. I want to stay in every room, they are all different!
