Mountain Chalet Snowmass

This property was far from deluxe as described. It was basic and OK. The breakfast was good.

Air conditioning not sufficient to provide comfort.

The worst lodging experience of my life. The bathroom door got locked. We had to move to the other room. It was worse than the first one. We couldn’t sleep during the night and left the place at 6 in the morning

Had a great stay! The breakfast set up was adorable and you can’t beat the slopeside pool/hot tub!

Surprisingly good find. Yes it’s older but they take care of the grounds very well. Great breakfast ! Rates reflect the age. Very convenient to the mall and the village gondola. Good outdoor hot tub. They offer a soup lunch during ski season with your room!

Overall clean, property is very dated, the outdoor space and patios are in great shape. Bed was comfy, Extremely expensive for the dated nature of this property.

Great hotel with a big caveat (see below). right next to the mall, town shuttle and gondola shuttle. Great amenities too, free included made to order breakfast was awesome. Best I have ever had. Cafeteria staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. They should be rewarded for their exemplary service. Offsite free parking very close. Free concert almost in front of the hotel. We had a fantastic stay. Now the big downside was the front desk staff who put me off. There was a young gentleman who was very helpful and courteous but the rest kinda made me feel unwelcome. I asked if a Mountain View room was available and they flatly said hotel is fully booked, which was a lie. There were plenty of rooms available which I verified that day. Also I asked repeatedly for extra 1 hour for checkout and they repeatedly said no problem, just ask again the day of checkout. And at the day of checkout they started to decline my request. Only when I mentioned they agreed before multiple times that they very reluctantly agreed. They knew I had made this request and they themselves had agreed but still wanted to decline on checkout day. Their sole function is to accommodate guests and they just weren’t in the mood to do that at all for me. I probably won’t stay here again mainly due to their unwelcoming attitude.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Plenty of other great options in the area. Very dirty, not updated, staff not helpful, etc, etc. We could not leave fast enough.

What a surprise we had when we rolled up to this hotel and found we were right on the ski slope with incredible views of ski slope and mountains. The breakfast was cooked for us. No plastic. The staff were very friendly. It was a very pleasant experience and we would stay there again. Restaurants and live music were just a block away.

This property is 1960's building. It is right next to a gondola lift. There is a parking garage in the basement if you want to pay $15/night to park in there. Otherwise you have to park pretty far away across the street. The room had a tiny window AC unit which never could cool the room enough. So if you are used to sleeping in a cool room in the summer then its not for you. The bathroom is tiny with the sink outside of the bathroom. The free breakfast was EXCELLENT every morning. The staff was friendly and buses to aspen were close to hotel. You have to take two to get to aspen. Parking in aspen is about $6.00/hour. So to summerize the hotel was old, with small rooms, tiny bathrooms, and undercooled. Aspen is very expensive so i chose this property on price alone.

The property was very rustic and the staff were friendly and so helpful. Room was comfortable especially the King bed. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Breakfast was different each morning and not to be missed and served by happy friendly staff again could not do enough for you. This was my first time visiting Snowmass in the summer and cannot wait to return for skiing in the winter.

We had an amazing time staying at the Mountain Chalet Snowmass, staff is very polite and helpful
