The hotel has been undergoing renovations — the room upgrades are a nice improvement. However, construction was still active around the pool area during our stay, which made for a noisy environment.
We also experienced two fire alarms, reportedly caused by faulty wiring in the gym. Aside from a text/email explanation, there was little communication or follow-up from staff about the situation.
The food was good, but the service was inconsistent. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, while others seemed indifferent or annoyed to be assisting guests.
Overall, the stay had some positives, but the ongoing disruptions and uneven service made it feel less than relaxing.

The resort is still going through a renovation on the exterior pool area, which is a great thing. It, however, made it extremely difficult for me as a handicapped wheelchair user to navigate the perimeter to go to the pool and to the ocean.

The only major complaint is that there was construction going on during our stay and always an inconvenience. Someone pulled the fire alarm during the day as well when we were getting ready. That is not the property’s fault. Asked for wash rags and never delivered to the room (extra) all in all of up to par it would be nice place to stay.

Room was dated. Cheap rubber floor. It had black streaks on it. Dog had chewed off the wall beside door. Bathroom dated. Definitely not worth the price. Pool bar is closed. Construction going on. Adult pool is in construction zone. Luggage racks are not available.

The resort was beautiful with lots of activities. Construction still going on but not a problem. Parking was the only issue. Holiday week so not enough parking; however, the resort staff was great and managed to find parking for everyone. Great resort staff!

Resort was not in good shape and the service was very poor. Pools were dirty and were not being cleaned. Our shower knob did not work, the bathroom door did not lock, there were huge dead bugs in the stairs for our entire stay, the gym equipments were filthy. Will not be back here.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I take my family on one vacation a year, and this 4 star resort was over priced, unsafe, and unsanitary. I reserved the king suite. In our $630/night suite, there was a brown hand size poop stain on our bed linens upon arrival. We were assured from cleaners “it’s just rust”. The trim was falling off the corner wall with tacks sticking out. My 2 year old son found sharp plyers on the first aid kit at his reach at the pool. The community pool bathroom (the only one available for pool guests) had electrical wires, unsupervised tools/equipment present the entire time. One maintenance man stayed in the bathroom to “secure a mirror from falling” while my 4 year old daughter and I used the facility. It was uncomfortable. The safety was the biggest issue. Every step we took I had to watch out for loose boards, tools, wires, debris which was incredibly stressful with my 2 and 4 year old. I brought my concerns to the manager the first night and was told they had no available rooms to move and dismissed my concerns about the rogue tools and wires in bathrooms. We were given one morning of breakfast coupons and the $125 resort fee waived. We spent over $2k for our 4-star vacation. This place should be shut down until renovations are completed or someone should assess if they are up to code. Our trip should have been comped or the price of the room lowered based on the unsanitary and unsafe conditions.
