We were only going to stay one night just to cross country ski, but it was so quiet and relaxing in the small town of Talkeetna we decided to stay a week. Rooms are very clean and everything is in walking distance, amazing view of Denali, plus the added bonus was seeing the northern lights.

This was my fourth visit to Talkeetna since 2007 and my second time visiting during the winter. It was also my first stay at the Talkeetna Inn.
Although the check-in time is listed as 4 PM, I arrived early and was allowed to check in at 2:30 PM, which was a nice gesture, especially on January 1st. I was also given a room with a great view, which I appreciated.
The location of the inn is excellent—right by the frozen river in winter—and within walking distance of the town’s restaurants and bars. The room was clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the heating was just right for the cold weather.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would consider returning to the Talkeetna Inn on future visits.

This inn is a hidden gem. Nice and clean and the views of Denali and the sunset over the water were magnificent. It is the perfect place to see the northern lights

No one answered phone very difficult to reach anyone person showed up at 4 and asked us to wait so she could open the bar we decided to go have dinner and come back had to go to the bar to check in very icy parking

Refused our stay with a registered DOT service dog saying they do not let dogs in of any kind or size. Didn't want to argue because there were not a lot of options in town. slept half the night in the car and the next night stayed with a friend who lives in town.

Had a great time at Talkeetna Inn. Quaint little place with great area out by the water, so pretty! Fun bar with great bartender ( Deanna) and fun atmosphere!

One night stay passing thru to Anchorage. End of the season in September, not a lot going on in town.
