The Wildbirch Hotel in JdV by Hyatt

Restaurant had wonderful food.

The property recently changed hands. (When I booked it was The Aviator hotel.) It’s a beautiful property and the staff tried to be helpful but they were a bit disorganized. With time this could improve. There’s a weird 3rd floor that has an elevator but also about six stairs. If you have a small suitcase it might not be a problem but we had large, heavy suitcases to lug up those stairs and ended up switching rooms. We were on street level and there was street noise, but at least it didn’t last until late into the night. The outdoor rooftop patio was wonderful with good food and drinks. The staff there was friendly and attentive. Marilynn at the front desk was helpful during checkout and with holding our bags until we had to leave for the airport. It’s walkable to a lot of places downtown and across from the train station for anyone doing a train excursion. Once they get the kinks worked out it will probably be a good place to stay.

This place is in a terrible location. Restaurant and bar closed as we got there. Room was really a far walk from reception with a thick carpet down a long hallway trying to pull luggage. Were offered a discount because TV would not work and had no hot water but never received it.

Very modern, clean and overall very pleased with stay.

Comfortable beds, had everything we needed

Great location within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Anchorage. Hotel just got remodeled and it is very nice.

Newly renovated modern boutique hotel. Used to be Aviator hotel now Hyatt Wild birch. Appreciated the Hand crafted furniture/design indicative of the location. Jonathan Adler bath amenities (citrus sandalwood) smelled amazing. Hotel is centrally located walking distance from dining. Staff friendly/helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Recently refurbished property. Great room and restaurant was excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Freshly renovated hotel. Comfortable bed, great restaurant and coffee shop within the hotel. Close to restaurants and attractions. Would stay again!

Nice clean. Central in downtown core

Property was clean and well cared for. Towels were white, fluffy, and smell freshly laundered. Water pressure in shower a bit low. Room brightly decorated, eclectic in a good way. Staff was friendly and attentive. I was very impressed.

Sheets feel like sandpaper and they are really rough. Long hallways with not a lot of elevators. Parking is no good
