Great place for a one night stay on a road trip. It was safe, clean, quiet, and affordable. It’s right in the heart of downtown Redding, so there’s tons of food options that are literally only a 5 minute walk away

The fall who checked us in was great, a keeper. This place got 4 stars only because it’s not new and sparkling. It is very clean, well maintained, and a deal for the money. Would stay here again!

The location is very busy with traffic and the noise permeates the room because a cheap, through-wall air conditioner is like an open door to the outside noise with no way to close it.
Furthermore, our room was not well cleaned and had a buildup of dark dirt and filth on the bathroom floor, especially in the corners.
I will not be returning to the Thunderbird Lodge as it was unpleasant at best.

"hot" breakfast was a tad lacking,,, Only 'hot' items were coffee, water and toaster.

Older property, but well updated. Everything was good, except - bring your earplugs. Train whistles all through the night. Convenient to everything we wanted to do.
