We gave the Wilmington Inn a 5 star rating due to the room being clean and comfortable. Upon arrival the receptionist was friendly and easy to deal with. The hotel is walking distance to nice restaurants. We felt safe at the location. That has not always been the case in some hotels we have stayed.

The hotel works great for our purposes. I do wish that the room would be aired out before arrival since it is a bit off-putting when you walk into a musty smelling room. This was cleared up by running the air conditioner but it would be much more pleasant to arrive to a clean smelling room. That is my only true complaint about this hotel.

Helpful check in. The candy vending machine would not accept dollar bills, but I really did not need the calories anyway lol. Great bed, good a/c.

Slippery walkway. Unplowed drive. Piles of snow to walk through to get to the room. Poor drainage of tub and sinks. Not enough towels for two women in a room. Room was clean.

Called ahead due to arriving late. Was told that there was no hot water due to boiler issue. Cancelled room reservation due to water issue. Please make sure my credit card is credited due to cancellation. Night clerk advised would not be an issue. Please confirm.

It’s an old property and the cheapest in the area. You get what you pay for. Served its purpose but if you’re used to better chain hotels, there are more nearby at double the price.

The carpet is disgusting. Had to leave my shoes on and they stuck and made a noise with every step.
The tub/shower was mildewy and musty smelling.
Definitely needs remodeling/updating.
Could hear the traffic and the neighbors....ewwww.

The motel was the closest, most affordable option to the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington.
When I turned the wall AC on, the smell was horrible. It took about an hour before the smell of musty dish rags dissipated. The carpet was literally so sticky that my tennis shoes made noise with every step.
