Renaissance® Vienna Schönbrunn Hotel

You always had to wait at the front desk for support. Wienzeile in front of the hotel is basically a highway. There we no amenities such as rental bikes. The interior design felt really outdated and at times quite kitsch. A leather pouf with a BSDM belt around it. Feels like out of a "50 Shades of Grey" novel.

We decided to stay at this hotel as it was walking distance to the Schonbrunn Palace however we were unable to get in to see the palace in it's entirety as we did not book in advance and the crowds were intense. The hotel was across from the underground train station so easy access to Vienna (about 15 minutes). That being said, the area around the hotel was dirty and didn't feel particularly safe although it probably was. It certainly didn't feel like we were in Vienna but rather a run down part of any city. The hotel itself had good amenities. Our room was well equipped with a fridge, kettle, instant coffee, tea, iron, ironing board and was suitably large with comfy beds that had no perfumey smell. That being said the room was pretty dirty. The base of the toilet had yellow stains on it and the bathroom walls had stains of a different nature! The cabinets and fridge had drips of dried liquid and finger prints as did the light switches. There was a balloon under my bed and bits of debris. Thank goodness for Lysol wipes. We couldn't have stayed here if I was unable to clean up. We definitely wouldn't stay again. We would pay more to stay closer to Vienna to have a more Vienese experience and a cleaner hotel. Not satisfactory.

The wonderful structure, truly exceptional breakfast, the only flaw was the emptying of the bins in the room, I had to personally ask for them to be emptied after almost two days. Furthermore, my 10 year old daughter kindly asked for tea in the guest room, where the coffee/tea machine was located, although it cost absolutely nothing to turn it on, the staff at the reception denied being able to turn it on. A 4 star hotel should absolutely not deny a guest a tea, even more so a 10 year old girl. Question of prestige, image. For the rest everything was wonderful. Alessio S. Veldig fint hotell, hyggelig personale og meget god frokost. Veldig enkelt å komme seg ned til sentrum på 10 min med t-bane som gikk hvert 4-5 minutt.

We booked two connecting rooms and received written confirmation from the hotel beforehand. However, when we arrived, we were told there were no connecting rooms available. Instead, we were given two separate rooms on the same floor — one suite (as ordered) and one club room, which was not what we had paid for. The hotel offered free breakfast as compensation, but unfortunately, it didn’t make up for the inconvenience. Having to split up the family between two rooms really disrupted our vacation — we couldn’t all be together as planned, and it made things very difficult, especially with the kids. Additionally, basic amenities were lacking. Our room had no soap. When we asked for it to be refilled, we were told the housekeeping staff had already left for the day and that someone would bring it after 10:00 PM. No one ever did. Overall, this experience was very disappointing. We chose this hotel expecting a certain standard and level of service, but unfortunately, it fell far short.

Clean rooms close to transit.

Wir haben 2 Zimmer übers Wochenende gebucht und hatten eine gute Anreise, ein einfaches Parken in der Tiefgarage unter dem Hotel und guten Service.

A good hotel that is across from a subway station. The hotel is very clean, room clean, and staffs were professional and welcoming.

The body wash was not replenished for two days and was replenished only after tipping. The room was not cleaned for one day. I told the front desk but they just gave me 2 towels. I expected salmon for breakfast but it was disappointing as it was just basic egg and bacon dishes. Everything else was good.

After having to complain many times, I was finally able to move from an extremely noisy room. The main window had been fixed shut, but still let in all the traffic noise from outside. Several of my colleagues also lost sleep for the same reason. I moved to a room where the windows closed properly, but with the aircon set to minimum, the room was still too warm… In February! After having may issues connecting to the internet (as with many other guests), an internet fee was added to my bill. I would not recommend this hotel.

プレミアスイートに泊まりましたが家具の品質がイマイチでした。また、部屋の乾燥がかなり酷く、おそらくハウスダストもあり、滞在中鼻水が止まらなかったです。ハウスキーピングの際にティッシュやアメニティの交換に所々不備があり何度か電話で依頼しました。

Das Hotel Renaissance in Wien überzeugt mit sauberen, geschmackvoll eingerichteten und geräumigen Zimmern. Besonders hervorzuheben sind das ausgezeichnete Frühstück und die flexible Möglichkeit zum späteren Check-out. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The overall service of the hotel is good except the soundproofing of the room needs improvement. Noises from trains and traffic passing by the hotel were heard inside the room. Furthermore, we were assigned a connected room so noises generated from the adjacent room could sometimes be disturbing.

We had an excellent stay at the Renaissance Wien Hotel and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Vienna! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the U4 metro line, which provides easy access to all of the city’s major attractions. It’s only a few stops to the heart of Vienna, and one quick stop to the magnificent Schönbrunn Palace, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations. The staff were professional. Our room was spacious, modern, and immaculately clean, with a super comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. We also loved the amenities provided. Whether you're in Vienna for leisure or business, the Renaissance Wien Hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable experience. We would definitely stay here again if we are visiting Vienna.
