I took a star away and really should have taken 2 away, because I was forced to stay in a room where the sink was clearly broke. I complained 5 times about it and nothing was fixed until the 4th day of my stay. The bathroom smelled like sewage because of it! I also mentioned that I didn’t have a do not disturb sign and nobody brought one to my room. That resulted in me being woken up 3 times in one day. I stayed here before in 2023 and it was great. This time left me looking for a different hotel for when I come back to Rio unless this property refunds some of my money back!

The hotel is in a good location right on the beach at Posto 2. You have wonderful views of the entire Copa Cabana. Generally, the staff is very helpful and responsive. The restaurant is nice and the food is good. All well worth it and very competitive.
We hit a bit of a snag on checkout. We were told about the transportation options to the airport using the hotel limo and that they are the way way they are and if we don't like them we are free to take a taxi. That was not helpful and borderline rude.

Foi uma excelente surpresa.
O hotel tem uma piscina na cobertura com um bar que serve bons drinks e snacks,academia e um agradável restaurante no 5 ° andar.

Infelizmente foi uma péssima estada. Não conhecia o hotel, e gosto de conhecer novos hotéis quando vou ao Rio. Havia um grupo de 3 homens estrangeiros no quarto ao lado, que só faltaram derrubar o hotel abaixo. Gritavam de madrugada, arrastavam móveis, pulavam. Conseguia ouvir tudo do meu quarto e foi difícil dormir as três noites. Ou seja, isolamento acústico e privacidade zero. Paredes de isopor. Para piorar, o quarto que nos deram fica ao lado de um elevador de serviço que, cada vez que em funcionamento, emite um bip estridente. Ouvir esse bip três vezes por minuto é enlouquecedor.
O serviço de spa também é bastante simples. Uma pequena sala com equipamentos básicos apenas para massagens. Estrutura realmente amadora.
O bar do rooftop, junto à piscina, é utilizado para eventos externos, e no sábado e domingo havia aniversários com DJs tocando e dezenas de convidados, tirando um pouco o sossego do hóspede que só deseja tomar um drink em paz no bar, mas precisa disputar a atenção do bartender (mais ocupado em atender os clientes externos).
Péssima experiência que não pretendo repetir jamais, e o bom é que agora perdi a curiosidade de conhecer os hotéis do grupo em Portugal.

The hotel could use updating and have more friendly staff. We booked a suite but the room was less than luxurious. The bathroom fixtures were worn down, the bathroom had mildew, bathroom sink clogged, bathrobe had stain, provided old towels that could be used as a rag. They charged 10 Brazilian Reals for
Nespresso coffee pods while it was free at the PortoBay in São Paulo and other hotels. Overall, convenient location but the experience was not worth the price we paid for a 5-star suite.
