It was a good stay. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast had a good variety and delicious! The room was a bit dark, didn't get much sunlight. Our room had a view of the neighboring building. We only had a small view of the beach from the balcony. The shower hose was broken, the water was weak and it leaked. Still, thanks to the great staff, I’ll definitely come back to PortoBay.

Our check in was great, we arrived later in the day and our room was ready upon arrival. The front desk staff was very friendly :) the location of the property and the amenities were great! we had drinks on the roof in the evening and the view was beautiful overlooking the beach. the section of the beach used by the hotel was really nice to have and it was easy to get drinks. you could also leave your bags at the cabana with the attendants so you can go in the ocean. I would recommend this hotel! the only downside to our stay was that our room did have a musty smell most likely coming from the AC. The balcony door was nice to have so we could open for fresh air but it did not mask the smell. The hotel was full so there was no other room to switch to and I did call to the front desk both days we were there to see if they could bring an air freshener and have the unit looked at but i dont believe anything was done. hopefully it can be fixed for the next guests :)

Great hotel across the street from Copacabano beach. Nice view from our room. The rooftop pool and barwas great.

The room I chose had a wonderful wide view of copacabana beach where I could see the set up for the Shakira concert. Room service and staff were excellent and the rooftop was amazing to lie in the sun!!!

O banheiro simplesmente inunda completamente. É tudo meio velho e o atendimento ruim. Não recomendo de jeito nenhum! Não vale o que cobra!

Sehr gut Panorama Blick … direkt am Strand . Tolles Frühstück mit Blick auf Copacabana Meer . Tolle Fitness Raum Complet ausgestattet und mit voll Blick aus Meer wie sein muss . Rissig große und sehr sauber Zimmer . Wir kommen sicher wieder

Porto Bay Rio is such a beautiful hotel. We booked the panoramic window room and the view is hard to beat. From the sunrises to the sunsets, and even the twinkling lights at night, the view was incredible. We could even see the Christ the redeemer statue from the hotel. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The hotel is also very clean. It’s in a great location with so many places to eat or things to do. It’s right across the street from the beach, which was definitely a plus! They also have an extremely wide variety of food and drinks every day for breakfast. Literally so much to choose from! We’ll be back here for sure!

Um hotel que ganha pela localização. Boa estadia, de frente à praia de Copacabana.

Das Hotel ist schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Leider hatten wir mit unserem ersten Zimmer kein Glück, da es stark modrig aus der Klimaanlage roch und das Badezimmer sich nicht schließen ließ, wodurch es reinregnete. Zusätzlich wurden Sanierungsarbeiten in den Zimmern um uns herum durchgeführt. Wir hatten nicht das Gefühl, dass uns ein annehmbares Zimmer für unser Honeymoon bereitgestellt wurde. Nach einer Beschwerde bekamen wir für die nächste Nacht ein neues, größeres Zimmer. Dieses war jedoch ebenfalls in die Jahre gekommen und es roch modrig und die Klimaanlage tropfte.
