Quiet location on the water in a historic house. Delicious breakfast with several choices served by professional staff. Locally sourced food and beverages, with BC wines and beers available at happy hour. We would stay here again!

This hotel is charming and memorable, very pretty in historical building. The staff were very kind and it is close to all amenities.
Here are the down sides. The hotel doesn’t warrant the price, at all. Almost insultingly so.
I couldn’t use the bathtub. The pipes are old and so the water that comes out of them is coffee colored. I noticed an old sign afterwards that said “do not use tub because the pipes are old”. The rooms are supplied with two space heaters because the rooms are chilly.
I saw that some people said they enjoyed the beds. There is no way that mattress is from this century. Lastly and above all…. YOU CANT WORK FROM HERE there internet is just that bad.
Everything else was perfect. If you want charm and history - this is it.

Greater older style house (was built in 1929 as the Lieutenant's mansion) with a large room (mine, the Library, anyway). There was a great breakfast in the morning with an actual menu.

The Latch in is very comfortable - elegance from an earlier century: large rooms with a comfortable bed and places to sit - a place where you don't mind spending a bit of time. Breakfast is wonderful - adding to the pleasure of your stay.

Le Lach Inn est bien situé. J'ai bénéficié d'une belle chambre au rez-de-jardin. L'ambiance est sereine, le décor surranée nous ramène vers le passé, de façon positive. C'est une bonne idée d'afficher les photographies des gens qui ont vécu dans cette maison. On voudrait en voir plus. Le personnel était très affable. Petit bémol, les tapis auraient besoin d'un bon nettoyage en profondeur. Le stationnement est un peu loin. Si on doit prendre la voiture le soir, ceci est un inconvénient.

What a lovely Inn. A perfect relaxing retreat after a busy holiday on the Island. Our room was clean and quiet and the hosts were lovely. The communication was outstanding. The breakfast was delish.

The Latch Inn is a lovely, charming place with uniquely decorated rooms and a comfortable sitting room. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, staff is attentive and very nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It is an older property so don’t expect brand new. There’s a great restaurant next door at the harbor for dinner.

The hotel is a lovely old log home from ages ago. But the service isn’t up to par. We arrived and no one answered. I had to call them to open the door. We ask a few questions about the main attractions there and the employee knew nothing. I asked if he lived here and he did!! Room was pretty but it was supposed to have a beautiful water view, instead it faced a ton of boat garages and boats docked up. You couldn’t see open water anywhere. Other guests were talking about it too and just as disappointed. We’d booked this location for this reason. The breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about. The hollandaise sauce tasted odd, the muffins were made with some strange ingredients, etc. We’ve stayed in hundreds of b&bs and we didn’t feel the staff was engaged with their customers, no wine or appetizers in the afternoon unless you paid for it. Overall a bit disappointing. Also please provide a trash can in the room. Only one tiny one in the bathroom
