The Pantages Suite

My stay at this property was unfortunately not what I expected based on the listing. The check-in process was confusing and uncomfortable. We were asked to notify the host 30 minutes before arrival, which we did, but still ended up waiting a significant time with our belongings. The unit is not managed by the hotel itself, and the front desk was unable to assist us. A third-party individual eventually arrived with keys to let us in, which did not feel like a secure or standard check-in experience. The unit itself did not fully match the expectations set by the listing. Additionally, there were safety concerns — one of the dining chairs was unstable with loose legs upon arrival. We avoided using it for that reason, but after checkout we were contacted and told it was broken and may be deducted from our deposit, which has been frustrating to deal with. Overall, the stay felt disorganized and lacked the level of professionalism and security I would expect when booking through a platform like Expedia. I would recommend that future guests clarify check-in procedures in advance and carefully inspect the unit upon arrival. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.

Smaller than expected, but a phenomenal location. Next to Massey Hall, close to subways and Dundas (Toronto Time Square), the price is reasonable despite the room’s small size.

Clean and perfect little studio apartment

The accommodations were misleading and the pictures were embellished. The place was dated and not very clean. The company managing the property was disorganized and frankly not very customer focused. The left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. As well, the booking site we used was misleading in it approach. We thought we were booking directly with Pantages Hotel because that is the way the booking site promoted it but as you got to the end of the booking and after the fact, you only found out you were booking with the Pantages Suites which is not related to the Hotel. After the very negative experience we had, I would never book through this booking site again and if you ever come across a management company called RS, which manages the property, just know that they are basically incompetent.
