We picked this one due to the convenience of being close to the Wulingyuan national park, glass bridge, Baofeng lake, and HuangLong cave, all the main attractions you need to do - besides the epic Tianmen mountain which is located in downtown ZhangJiaJie just 30 minutes away.
Hotel offers transport service from airport and park, but this is for a fee. Taxis, however, are low priced and convenient. Hotel check in team and concierge (Mark) are wonderful so make sure to check in with him for assistance with booking park tickets, restaurant recommendations, and tips on how to navigate the 4 day itinerary in the area. Massage on site is great and at reasonable cost. Rooms are slightly dated and in the wintertime, all public areas are very cold due to heat not being turned on. Only downside to our stay is the terrible breakfast. Coffee is undrinkable but manager offered better Italian style coffee from the bar. Still better off going to Luckin across the street. Dinner is equally bad, but we also preferred Cantonese options since we can't handle the seasoning of Hunan cuisine. Location of hotel can't be anymore prime, within walking distance to the main park and downtown area with Hey Tea, shopping, and other dining options. Pool looks lovely but obviously closed during winter.

The hotel is nice and close to the East gate (1.2km). Only hiccup are people that think smoke ban does not apply to bathroom… the smell gets from bathroom to bathroom… nice breakfast and nice staff.

Pros:
Location is great, only few minutes driving from Zhangjiajie National Forest and within walking distance to restaurant and shops.
Hotel staff is very nice.
Cons:
Hotel is very dated, damp and humid. Our room was dark and damp. Carpet and curtains had stains. Mini fridge did not work. Shower barely had any water pressure. There was no hair conditioner and no lotion.
Breakfast food was not good and breakfast area felt like a giant diner with people running around everywhere.
Will not stay here again.

所有前枱服務員沒有笑容和不耐煩，因為上到房間發現馬桶按去水制鬆脫而需要維修，可能覺得麻煩，所以有點黑面，還好企在旁邊的兩位小哥哥包括幫忙寄存行李和每次出門詢問是否需要車，告訴他我們已經有車他們還笑容滿面，最後一天還問需要車到車站，在好奇之下問了一下車需要多少錢後再回答不用了，小哥哥還很有禮貌地回答沒問題再送我們出酒店，回說酒店方面本以為這麼多年的酒店感覺應該有點舊和有發霉味道，但這酒店原全沒有感覺幾整潔，今次的4星是給兩位小哥哥和其他服務員

Great stay at Pullman would highly reccomend staying in not just this hotel but in this area (Wulingyuan) if ur looking to go to the Avatar Mountains as it was only a 3min drive to the cable car station costing 70p. Eating was was quite expensive... we ordered two mains one starter and an alcoholic drink which came up to £58. Staff are really friendly. Breakfast was in a massive hall in next to Lobby which had a rotating buffet everyday and a western + very chinese option, the hall had carpeting instead of normal flooring which was a bit off putting as it had many stains but was still worth it as it was the best breakfast u were going to get.

Location to park is good - 20 minute walk to the gate. However hotel is old and tired and needs updating and refurbishing. Restaurant menu is very limited and food w a s mediocre and a little oily. Breakfast is not very good - plenty of choice but if a poor quality.

Tired hotel held together by some great service, Bob is an absolute star and some others try very hard. Cost cutting measures were reflected in the lack of a club lounge, non existent pool boy, poor quality food and poorly maintained facilities. Hopefully an upturn in visitors will lead to some reinvestment and a pay rise for Bob and we will get to see the old dame less lame.

We got food poisoning from the hotel food. Room was small and not very clean. The ac was turned off so we had to open windows and get bitten by bugs all night. Terrible experience in a beautiful place!

It’s a nice hotel, past it’s prime for sure, but for the price your paying it’s still great. The room was large, clean and comfortable.
Hotel staff could have been more helpful, I guess they can’t all speak English so a lot of the time they would keep their head down at reception or allow several Chinese customers to push in front of me as they do.
Management could speak English and were always helpful. But please inform your staff to at least acknowledge customers and ask them to wait a moment.
Pool area was pretty, but there were no towels available and the changing rooms weren’t great.
