Pullman Zhangjiajie

Version française : L’hôtel Pullman Zhangjiajie est très bien situé pour visiter les montagnes d’Avatar. Il se trouve dans la zone où les guides et les agences viennent récupérer les voyageurs, ce qui est vraiment pratique. En revanche, l’hôtel en lui-même est assez basique et ne correspond pas vraiment au standing annoncé. La chambre était simple, et je recommande de bien demander une chambre non-fumeur, car j’ai senti de la fumée dans les couloirs. Pour moi, c’est surtout un point de passage pratique pour séjourner une nuit dans la zone, mais pas un lieu où l’on reste par plaisir. La ville se développe encore autour de ses activités touristiques, et on sent que les infrastructures des grandes chaînes ne sont pas encore pleinement au niveau. Version anglaise : The Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel is very well located for visiting the Avatar Mountains. It’s in the area where guides and travel agencies pick up their guests, which makes logistics very convenient. However, the hotel itself feels quite basic and doesn’t really match the star rating it claims. The room was simple, and I would strongly recommend requesting a non-smoking room, as there was cigarette smell in the corridors. For me, it’s mainly a convenient stopover to stay close to the attractions, rather than a hotel you choose for comfort or atmosphere. The city is still developing around tourism, and you can feel that the infrastructure of major hotel chains isn’t fully up to standard yet.

O atendimento muito bom, mas eu esperava mais por ser Pullman. Café da manhã foi a maior decepção. Apenas duas máquinas peque as de café para muitos hóspedes. Buffet bem básico poucas opções ocidental. A reposição de alguns itens também não acontecia. Exemplo bacon teve primeiro dia e logo acabou e não foi reposto. No último fiquei mais tarde e vi colocavam alguns itens quando praticamente todos foram embora.

Enjoyed our stay at the Pullman and would highly recommend this property. The staff was extremely helpful at all times and the room was very comfortable.

Pullman hotel had a fantastic breakfast that really helped us fuel our bodies for long days of hiking in the National Forest. The foot messages at the hotel spa were fantastic and the staff was kind and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location to walk to the waterfront and restaurants.

Lo mejor del hotel es la localización, muy próximo al parque natural. Por lo de más es un hotel que necesitaría una gran reforma, las instalaciones son bastante viejas y el gimnasio en concreto es una vergüenza de lo viejo que está, para tener un gimnasio donde no funcionan las máquinas mejor no tenerlo. Tienen la norma de usar gorro en la piscina pero no te lo prestan, solo lo puedes comprar. El personal correcto sin ser especialmente amable. Posiblemente halla mejores opciones por el precio.

The hotel is well situated near Zhangjiajie national forest park and near many other attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was mainly Chinese food but good. I was not able to use swimming pool for 2 out of 3 days just because it was raining but no thunder

The hotel is nice and close to the East gate (1.2km). Only hiccup are people that think smoke ban does not apply to bathroom… the smell gets from bathroom to bathroom… nice breakfast and nice staff.

Pros: Location is great, only few minutes driving from Zhangjiajie National Forest and within walking distance to restaurant and shops. Hotel staff is very nice. Cons: Hotel is very dated, damp and humid. Our room was dark and damp. Carpet and curtains had stains. Mini fridge did not work. Shower barely had any water pressure. There was no hair conditioner and no lotion. Breakfast food was not good and breakfast area felt like a giant diner with people running around everywhere. Will not stay here again.

We picked this one due to the convenience of being close to the Wulingyuan national park, glass bridge, Baofeng lake, and HuangLong cave, all the main attractions you need to do - besides the epic Tianmen mountain which is located in downtown ZhangJiaJie just 30 minutes away. Hotel offers transport service from airport and park, but this is for a fee. Taxis, however, are low priced and convenient. Hotel check in team and concierge (Mark) are wonderful so make sure to check in with him for assistance with booking park tickets, restaurant recommendations, and tips on how to navigate the 4 day itinerary in the area. Massage on site is great and at reasonable cost. Rooms are slightly dated and in the wintertime, all public areas are very cold due to heat not being turned on. Only downside to our stay is the terrible breakfast. Coffee is undrinkable but manager offered better Italian style coffee from the bar. Still better off going to Luckin across the street. Dinner is equally bad, but we also preferred Cantonese options since we can't handle the seasoning of Hunan cuisine. Location of hotel can't be anymore prime, within walking distance to the main park and downtown area with Hey Tea, shopping, and other dining options. Pool looks lovely but obviously closed during winter.
