Beautiful Castle, fantastic food and good service.
We adore Castles and this is a proper one and given it was 27 degrees when we stayed the air-conditioning in the room was an unexpected benefit.
Our room was beautiful.
The only criticism I could make was that the arrangement of meeting in the drawing room 30 minutes before dinner was a bit of a shambles with no one offering us a drink or menus for 20 minutes, then collecting us to take us to our table only for them to say they hadn't meant to take us and would we sit down again.
However, this didn't distract from an amazing stay, and the food was really top draw.

We were a little surprised that we were not staying in the actual castle to start with but the room we were allocated was brilliant and had all the odd/old characteristics that the castle would have had. The staff were very attentive - could not be faulted. Would certainly recommend.

Just fantastic! Do note that though it is a true castle, not all the rooms are in the castle, so do check if you are staying in the castle or what is the rooms called Castle View. I believe they were a long time ago the servant quarters, BUT don't let this dissuade from staying here. IT IS A CASTLE! The staff was extremely polite and funny. There are peacocks you can hand feed snacks, but check with the staff what the peacocks will eat. The restaurant is fantastic, but be aware the menu is limited, but they try to make accommodations if you have any dietary restrictions. There is a tour of the castle, but we didn't take it, though you can go up to near the top of the castle, but not outside. The area around the castle is straight out of a novel with farms and sheep. It is THE English countryside. Hadrian's Wall is about 20 minutes from the castle, but you will need to drive there or get transportation. We are glad this stay was towards the end of our trip, though we did have to drive 300 miles from London by car to get there. It was well worth it.

No acepten upgrades ni elijan la habitación 4 del interior del castillo,tampoco les recomendaría que se alojarán ,ya que mi experiencia en el no resultó positiva,luego me contestarán con algúna respuesta tipo,pero les aseguro que hay muchos castillos en Inglaterra mejores que este.

Det var en mycket speciell upplevelse att bo i ett så gammalt slott, med en tydlig slottskänsla men ändå med moderna badrum. Det var omsorgsfullt renoverat och moderniserat. Vi bodde i slottet men vet inte hur det var att bo i annexen. Ok säng, bra dusch. Mycket tillmötesgående personal. Trevliga och stämningsfulla sällskapsytor. Stora valmöjligheter till frukosten, men det tog litet tid eftersom det var bordsservering och inte buffé. Vi åt middag på restaurangen och det var bra men portionerna var inte jättestora och man fick betala för tillbehören.

We stayed at Langley Castle Wednesday and Thursday. The castle itself is stunning, towering stone walls, peaceful grounds and interiors that balance medieval character with modern comfort. The staff were exceptional throughout our visit, friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Check in was smooth and the breakfast and the evening meal was very good. I booked the castle view room with the roof terrace, it was very quiet, apart from the visiting Peacocks and Peahens, and is accessed from the room via double glazed doors; there is also an air conditioner in the room which was a godsend! The bathroom unfortunately is very dated and needs some money spending on it to bring into the 21st century, (the shower was awesome though) some new furniture would be a good addition as well, unfortunately the room was very dusty and needed a good clean.
The grounds are peaceful and perfect for a quiet walk. The castle is full of history to explore or as we did have a relaxing escape. Overall we had a lovely stay and would happily return. Langley Castle is a unique peaceful and interesting venue.

Amazing experience to stay in a castle. We stayed in the Radcliffe Suite, so spacious and grand. The bathroom was huge! With a sauna! The bed was super comfy. My husband and I had dinner from the fine dining menu and our son was able to order from the relaxed dining menu which was great. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was equally wonderful, and my husband was very happy to see kippers as a menu choice.
All in all we couldn’t fault a thing and really enjoyed our stay. The only bad thing was we only were able to stay one night.

The castle view room was lovely...very spacious, nice bathroom and the bed was a bit small but comfortable enough. Our evening meal in the restaurant was quite pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was equally excellent.
We loved hearing about the history of the castle with the complimentary tour...great idea!
We visited as a couple to celebrate my partner's birthday and were not disappointed thank you!

While we were only there for one night it was a treat to be able to have gotten one of the few rooms within the castle itself. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating to my husband's dietary limitations. The only thing they forgot was having my bear knight and chocolates ready in my room but that's just a minor thing and I did ask for it just the day before so not a big deal once I asked.

A hidden gem for any medieval castle hotel fan. We’ve stayed at many castle hotels and Langley Castle stuck out for its authenticity and unique details, especially the 14th century window niches. Make sure to reserve a suite with a window niche like Greenwich Room. Dinner is a nice occasion with drinks starting in the drawing room before descending to the dining room for the meal. Free castle history tour in the morning.

The hotel makes an immediate impression on first sight, occupying an impressive location in well-maintained grounds.
Our accommodation was spacious and well appointed, albeit its cleanliness can best be described as ok.
The restaurant is well presented even if the carpet shows a few silver snail trails. Breakfast was on par for the standard of the hotel while the fine dining offering experienced was of questionable value.
Overall, the hotel reflects a slick business model.

The Langley Castle hotel was a wonderful experience. The staff could not be more accommodating, friendly and helpful. It's been a long time since we experienced such great service and felt so welcomed! We were offered help with our bags, which given the narrow and winding stairs, would be a good option for anyone with a heavy or large suitcase. I believe there were over 20 winding stairs (and not always a hand rail), so if one has any climbing difficulties, be aware of this. Our suite was lovely, as pictured and the A/C was fabulous, especially in a heatwave. The bed was extremely comfortable too. It was nice to have tea, coffee, a carafe of water and some nibbles at the ready. The TV was fiddley and the picture wasn't great, but not that big a deal for us. The breakfast was fine and there was a nice selection of options. However, it was so slow that our coffees went cold waiting - but staff immediately brought fresh when this was noted to them. The bartender was also friendly and helpful. We had a casual meal and that was the only thing I would not have again. My burger whilst hot, was tremendously overcooked, dry and tasteless - almost as if it had been reheated by microwave. I didn't finish it. My partner's fish, although plentiful was greasy. The apple crumble was dry and had the smallest scoop of ice cream I've ever seen in my life. We paid 70 pounds for one of the worst meals we've had. Stay for the experience, but probably eat somewhere else!

It was an amazing and special experience. The Castle room had all the charm of sleeping in a Castle plus all the common elements. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!

The castie hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful bedroom , very convenient for popping out with the dog . Staff were welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately the guest WiFi was not working and we were not told . We were unable to contact family, complete important legal tasks , or watch the tv. The ‘ superior’ menu food was very disappointing

Beautiful castle and location. Our room was lovely and we had a good experience dining in the atmospheric castle dining room. The decor of the bar and lounge were also very atmospheric, just as you would expect from a castle and enhanced the experience. The grounds were good to explore. We joined the "history tour" of the castle and this was a very enjoyable and informative 40 minutes, including going up to the tower.
