The property is beautiful and well kept. One young man did not seem to know the menu to assist in our selection but was kind & willing to find out what was needed. We must not have understood the room selection since I had planned on a night “in” then castle & instead had a room view. Sort of ruined the point of staying with you. I was disappointed. The accommodations were wonderful, room beautiful, comfortable and luxurious.

The property is beautiful. The staff were very helpful during check in. Our room was in the Castle View Lodge and was very nice. The meals - dinners and breakfasts- were fabulous. The tour of the castle was very interesting and informative.

Very good, but the dinner was an disappointing experience, having being made to wait an hour in a common room, then the food was lukewarm and had some plastic in it. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are in need of a refresh, whilst I appreciate it is an old 'theme' property, furnishing in the room is showing significant wear and tear. But overall I enjoyed the stay.

You are staying in a 600 year old castle. The staff is outstanding, the accommodations are excellent, and the food is amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a castle. Staff were very friendly and professional . There was a selection of two menus for dinner. The more casual menu had steak and ale pie which was exceptional and a generous portion size. The hotel is conveniently located to visit Hadrian's Wall and the Roman History Museum. It is also not far from Hexham Abbey. It is a rare experience to visit a 7th century church. Don’t forget to take the tour of the castle offered daily to guests. If you are looking for a unique experience this is the place!

Dinner was very expensive for the amount received.

Fantastic place to stay and eat although the "castle view" accommodation mostly obscured the castle by tall trees. Make sure you do the morning tour!

Langley Castle Hotel is set in the most beautiful countryside, surrounded by tall trees and grassy lawns, where peacocks roam. The staff were lovely. Professional, friendly and highly efficient. Kaycee on Reception, deserves a special mention because she went over and above what he duties are. She really made our stay perfect.

The room and bathroom was very spacious. We loved spending time on the balcony however when it was dark there was no lights. Would of liked lights outside so we could have stayed outside longer. The grounds are beautiful and peacocks roam around freely. Such a beautiful place.

Definitely worth a visit. We only stayed for one night but we will be back. Staff all unbelievably good. Food exceptional. Very quiet. Really good nights sleep. Highly recommend this hotel. We also did the free history tour of the castle. Do not miss this as it includes a visit to the roof to take in the views.

The castle and castle tour was great. The room and building was the real castle. Dinner was very fancy. We loved our stay.

It was a dream come true. Always wanted to stay in a castle and it exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Radcliffe room. Unbelievable. Clean spacious and felt like a princess. Sauna was a nice touch and the bath was absolutely beautiful and spacious enough for 2. Would’ve liked bubble bath or epsom salts that’s the only thing I would’ve asked for. High tea was impressive with plenty of food and evening finding was amazing fresh and tasty. We didn’t want to leave

Food bad, restaurant service bad. Table booked 7.30 finally shown to table 8.20, main course arrived 9.15. Steak inedible, vegetarian options very limted and bad. Altogether extremely disappointing

Very impressive castle with ample parking and 3 EV charging points. Lovely staff. The lounge/ bar area was spacious, but the furnishings are tired and jaded. The dining room is beautifully presented, crisp white linen and sparkling cutlery and glassware . Breakfast was excellent, evening meals were a little disappointing. Most guests will have a room in the Castle View buildings which are separate from the castle. Room was a good size, although the furniture had seen better days, but with the advantage of working air conditioning. The bathroom was spotless. However, the mattress was uncomfortable and unfortunately we experienced a fire alarm at 03.36, no explanation and no protocol observed.

Lovely place to stay. Very special with amazing restaurant on the property and cats and peacocks roam the grounds.

Great castle hotel, so much history and a beautiful dinner. Great for families.

Chips with everything they need a new Chef???

Really excellent for a short break in this interesting area. Lovely situation, restored castle with a great history ( free guided tour recommend). Best things: lovely committed staff,friendly and efficient. Good food, especially formal dinner and super breakfast. Highly recommend

Everything about Langley Castle was excellent. The room was grand and spacious, with a view of the castle. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent as well, and as a guest at the hotel you get the chance to go on the complimentary Battlement guided tour. It's well worth a stay and I'll definitely come back some day.
