Hôtel situé près des musées donc très facile d’accès. Par contre pour aller à la vieille ville, il faut prendre le transport en commun ou marcher environ 30 minutes. L’hôtel était très bien les chambres très propres. le personnel à la réception a été très accueillant.

Nice, quiet spot near museums. Rooms are simple and a bit dated, but staff is friendly. Steep stairs and limited amenities—good for budget travelers. Transportation is very convenient and easy. Would recommend

What a lovely hotel! It reminds me of a townhouse inside, with a beautiful communal area for breakfast - which was delicious and has way more than your average hotel breakfast.
A nice, safe, relaxing place to rest after seeing the city. It feels like it's a quiet local neighborhood, but it's only about a 10 minute walk from most of the famous museums, and maybe 20 minutes commute to Anne Frank's House and downtown sites.
Hamed, who was at the front desk during my stay, is so kind and helpful. He answered all my questions and assisted me with renting a bike from the hotel, and patiently gave me tips about Amsterdam.
I chose the smallest room, which required a walk up several flights of stairs - common in Europe - and it was indeed small but just right for me, and every aspect of the room was thoughtfully designed, from the cool lighting, blackout curtains, and tv mounted on the wall, to the shelf storage in the bathroom. I know they offer various sized rooms, and although I saw several other guests around, whenever it was just me, it was peaceful and quiet.
I would stay again, but myself or with a group in a larger room. If they put in an elevator, I would love there! 10/10.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel
I had a very disappointing stay. First of all, there is no lift, which made getting to the upper floors a real struggle—especially with luggage. The stairs are incredibly steep and feel dangerous, with a serious risk of falling. This place is absolutely not suitable for elderly guests, anyone with mobility issues, or even families with young children.
The breakfast was poor, with very limited options and low-quality food. Items weren’t replenished, and the dining area felt cramped and disorganized.
To make things worse, this is clearly a 2-star hotel charging 4-star prices. The facilities and service do not match the cost in any way. Overall, I felt ripped off and frustrated. Would not recommend—there are far better options out there for the same or even lower price.

Death stairs Facebook group candidate. The stairs are steep and uneven, other than that lovely stay. There's a good continental breakfast, with three time slots 7.15-8, 8.10-9, 9.15 to 10ish as the eating area is small. Room was clean but warm. The bathroom was small but more than adequate, although possible needs some paint touch ups. Staff were incredibly helpful. The area was quiet, we slept with the balcony door open and had full night sleeps

Extremely steep staircases, the rooms are far from soundproof, you can hear every guest that walks by. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are terrible - i think they put a pillow cover on a centerblock. The area is quiet and very close to the koncert hall and museums, and plenty dining options within walking distance.

De kamer was schoon, maar er waren wat plekjes waar schimmel te zien was. De entree en de gang waren redelijk outdated, de vloerbedekking was bijna versleten. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd.
Grote plus was dat het op loopafstand van de musea en het Concertgebouw is.

Property was functional, upkeep was fair and close to many areas in the De Piip neighborhood. Situated in a traditional Dutch home, it had no elevator only steep stairs to navigate. Decent stay, but may look for other options next time.

I think the hotel is okay for it's money but it's not that comfortable. There is no elevator so you need to carry everything 2- 3 floors. The living room is closed at 22:30 so there is no space after this hour to hang out in the hotel. If you are a smoker you should stand up outside the hotel in the streets. Room was decent and clean. They ask for a deposit of 100 e more and I will be waiting for them the next 5-10 days. That's really disappointing.

We stayed in the quadruple room, hotel staff was nice and the room was great & clean.
As mentioned by the hotel the sound isolation is not the best, you might hear people walking through the corridors in the morning but it’s really not an issue.
Besides that breakfast is good, the area is nice and quiet, and within walkable (less than 15 minutes) distance from Amsterdam.

First time in Amsterdam. Great location, I walked nearly everywhere rather than get a bus/tram. The staff where very welcoming and made check in and check out very easy. Clean bedroom/bathroom and a comfortable bed for a couple of nights. Very happy with my choice of hotel. Will recommend and hopefully come back
