My Blue Hotel

Booked based on great reviews on Hotels.com and SoMe. Was supposed to stay 6 nights, ended up checking out after 3 nights. 1. There was an extreme smell of mold throughout the entire room/bathroom. The mold was also very visible, the curtains, the walls and the shower. 2. The aircon was not working properly and I assume this is also why they have a mold problem. Humidity was extreme in the room and all our clothes and stuff ended up damp, and nothing (swim/beachwear) was close to drying. Due to the climate in Zanzibar I would say it’s very important that there is a functioning aircon with dehumidification function. 3. The room was dirty, especially around the bed, windows and shower. 4. On the bottom part of the window, there were no glass, only mosquito netting. Due to this, it was moist and very noisy in the room. We felt like we were sleeping in a tent on the street. We could hear everything happening outside and had trouble sleeping because of this. 5. The lady in the reception tried to make a problem out of us checking out later than 12:00, which is crazy as we had already paid for 6 nights, but wanted to leave after 3 nights. 6. Over all, in serious need of upgrade, but even small things like mosquito netting around the bed, sheets/linen and towels had holes. 7. Impossible to get sunbeds unless you wake up at 7 to put your towel down. Dirty pools and facilities. Very disappointed, we expected more from a 4 star hotel.

Très bel hôtel, avec ses piscines et l’accès direct à la plage, transat et serviette à disposition mais ils faut aller tôt pour en avoir un, trop de beach boy sur la plage qui veulent vous vendre des choses ou des excursions se qui gâche la beauté des plages. De belles animations et de bons repas le soir.

Location,clean,pools,beach,service,tv for fotball,sports. Everything was perfect apart from food was 6 of 10. Best tides also.

Beachfront , Men en smule overpriset for hva man fikk , Frokost buffet grei helt ok , Men vil ikke anbefale og ta all inclusive her da det er kort vei til andre resturanter . Vil ta ett annet hotell ved neste besøk til Zanzibar !

Great stay! The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are very well kept and the pools are sparkling. Highly recommend staying at My Blue Hotel!

Nydelig sted, flotte omgivelser og strand. Litt dårlig vedlikeholdt. Veldig vennlig, blid og hyggelige ansatte.

The location and price are amazing. The food can be better. The hotel is more beautiful than the pictures. If a little renovations/upgrading of the rooms are done will match the 5 star resorts. Staff is incredible. Over roll, I will recommend this hotel for anyone.

Bästa läge, underbar hjälplig personal

un esperienza pessima, albergo sporco non curato cibo pessimo chiodi arrugginiti vicino ad i lettini il wi fi funziona malissimo spruzzano del veleno per le zanzare sui cuscini del letto

MyBlue is a nice hotel direct on the beach, owner is an Italian family, so it's a little bit like in Rimini... If you wnat to have a sun bed on the Beach, you have to pay!! At least Myblue rent these sunbed to everybody for 10$. For 10$ you can stay the all day on the most beautifull beach of Zanzibar, bring your own drink and food, have a free internet the all day. Is that not nice! I paid 3000$ for 9 nights and have to pay extra to be on the beach. Next time i will take an cheap hotel and will spend my day for 10$ at Myblue... When you are booking a room add the information that you don't want a room next to the Disco!!!

La estancia ha ido genial, estupendo. Mejorable el tema comida buffet. Por el resto un hotel tranquilo y bonito.

Hotel molto bello quasi sulla spiaggia

Jag och min familj hade en härlig upplevelse på my blue hotell. Servicen var utmärkt och hotellet hade ett jättefint läge vid stranden.

Fint hotell på stranda. Mykje buffetmat. Viss ein likar all inklusive er dette hotellet for deg, me likar å ete ulike stader. Men me var berre på hotellet to netter. Reint og ryddig.

The first room we got, when we opened the door, there was a cat inside staring at us, then we were moved to the second room, where we could not sleep ALL NIGHT because there were termites chewing those woods inside the room and the chewing noise was so loud that we could not sleep! We even recorded it just make the front desk people listen, and they were astonished! Then we were moved again to a third room. This was a really painful hotel stay!!

Une belle découverte, l'hôtel est superbe avec un jardin luxuriant et un accès immédiat à la magnifique plage. Nous mangeons face mer et la nourriture est excellente et variée. Le personnel est adorable, les chambres spacieuses et très propres. Que du plus pour cet hôtel qui m'a été recommandé et que je recommanderai à mon tour.
