Running a hotel without the facility to provide additional pillows/bedding is an interesting strategy. The staff informing us of this particular issue were also rude about it too. That issue aside - was clean and well presented. Most of the other staff encountered were top notch.

Room not cleaned once during my stay, it says when booking “on site restaurant “ yet they don’t serve food. Room too small, and tv couldn’t access freeview as the wifi kept buffering. Won’t book there again

The hotel building and car park are satisfactory, and the staff are frindly. However, the mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable—the pillows felt old, and the mattress seemed worn out, with springs that made sleeping feel like sinking to the bottom. Additionally, the bathroom had low water pressure, which made showers less enjoyable. Overall, while the staff and facilities are fine, the bedding and bathroom issues significantly affected my stay.

Room was clean, very soft bed. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Partly booked due to high reflection of breakfast. This was the most disappointing part of the stay. It was poor sadly low quality sausages, food was not a good enough standard I’m afraid.

Room 47 TV - Pixels broken on screen, so hard to watch and poor signal. Shower - Really poor, poor pressure, not a nice experience. Toilet - Temperamental, sometimes did not flush. Room - No hair dryer, had to ask at Reception. Overall not a great experience, would not stay again for work.

We have stayed previous and this stay was great. However second time not so much, paid extra for king size bed to be told they only have doubles and receptionist replied “I have never been in any of the rooms so I don’t know what to tell you” didn’t change the room we got a small double. Radiator was broke which made the room to hot to sleep in mentioned to staff who said it was waiting to be repaired. Vending machine jammed and when I asked for help from staff was told there’s nothing the can do so to just accept the loss. As it was a seperate company and they had no key.

The restaurant was closed I was directed to a great Italian restaurant a few hundred yards away. Walls are thin and the halls are laminate so every suitcase that’s trundled along the hall outside is like a jumbo jet taxiing past

TV needed a lot of tweaking to get it to work. bathroom shower appalling. NO PRESSURE at all- Breakfast unmanned for the duration we spent in the restarant. just not a nice experience

Staff courteous Room very clean Only concern,No Bath Math available. I slipped un bath whilst taking shower Bruised my back. Reported to Cleaner%Reception, apparently its not deemed necessary to have one in bath at this time.

Lovely decor in hotel, really friendly staff, nice breakfast.

WiFi not useable, the water pressure in the shower (room 52) is shocking. Better off taking your shower gel out in the rain. Can hear every single thing that happens in the other rooms.

Ok , dated & mouldy bathroom

Walking in the Hillcrest it seemed quite posh. The reception and bar area was nice. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel wasnt. Firstly getting to room was a task. Signage is awful and you seem to just wonder around hoping for the best. The corridors smell of tabacco or canabis which made you doubt the fire system As a contractor i dont expect the Ritz. The shower trickled, the fan didnt work at all. The twin beds together advertised as a double was uncomfy and i was awoken in the middle of the night by the room next door that sounded like he was going to murder someone. Overall a crap stay. The Tavern pub round the corner was bang on though !!! his was quickly

Staff v welcoming room was clean

We walked away from the hotel after changing rooms twice so didn't stay at all. Luckily for us we live 15 miles away so got an UBER home. The first room had a terrible smell of stale smoke, the second room, well the bed had a large dip in the middle. Just not up to standard. The hotel itself is rather rundown and scruffy. The lobby ;looks ok but as you move about the hotel you realise the condition of the hotel is terrible. The porter on reception was a nice enough chap and tried to help but this hotel needs a lot more than a nice chap at front desk. Probably the worst hotel I have been to in the UK.
