I loved it all. The river view, pool, bar, restaurant, service, and how kind and sweet everyone were. I loved the location, the peace and tranquility it brought to my life. Which was much need for an Emergency Room RN. When I arrived I was greeted my a wonderful young man, he was kind and very pleasant. This world needs more people like.him in it. My only regret is having to leave so soon. Thank you all for everything, I appreciate it so much!

Great place to stay near the airport. Clean rooms and comfy beds. The restaurant is amazing, the staff is super friendly and this was probably some of the best food we ate in our two weeks in Belize and that is saying a lot because the food is spectacular throughout the country. Great way to end our trip with good food and a morning filled with lovely birds singing and howler monkeys. Highly recommend!

We booked the Black Orchid last minute at the suggestion of another traveler we met in San Ignacio. We are so happy that we took their advise. This was a 1 night stay to be closer to the airport. The resort had excellent service, a great pool/bar area and a restaurant on site. The room we were in was very spacious and clean. We were unable to get the TV to work but that could have been user error! We were exhausted and a little tipsy from hanging out at the pool. The bed was a little on the hard side for my taste but not the worst I have slept in. Overall it is in a beautiful location, has great service, comfortable accommodations and very convenient to the airport. I would absolutely stay here again next time we are in the area.

I needed a last minute place to stay when my flight was delayed, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. They provided a shuttle from the airport for a very reasonable cost. As a woman traveling alone, I appreciated that the driver was right at the airport exit, wearing a hotel branded shirt, and the sign also had the hotel name.

Poor organization no coffee in room no glasses no sugar. TV don’t work. Telephone doesn’t work, , Boat did not work. Waste of time to say there , unintelligent, on their website room rates are higher than HOTEL.com 90$ less Hotel is for locals to have picnic

Gorgeous room

Near BZE - ideal for a layover if required. Staff were kind & professional. Surprised they could not recommend any providers for diving / snorkel activity in the Cayes - thought they should have a “link” or recommendations (got it from GOOG). We were unable to get a river cruise (to see Manitees) as their boat was out for repair (ended up canoeing upriver for a mile & back). Given the small scale of biz, I suspect they have to be informed ahead of time if you want to rent their boat.

The staff is amazingly helpful. We woke up late for breakfast and they made us something dvevthough the kitchen was closed.

What a great spot! The entire property is charming, wonderful restaurant, rum bar, pool, and river access. The staff was incredibly helpful, helping us plan a sunset river cruise and secure transfers to and from the airport. Highly recommend.

Good restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. Available canoeing on the river was great, as was just sitting overlooking Grounds maintenance was uneven, some okay near pool and river and other areas not well taken care of. We stayed in 2 rooms. The second seemed cleaner and nicer than the first, but had a broken sink plug mechanism. Hotel is not near anything.

Everything and everyone at the Black Orchid was fantastic. The food was delicious, the beds were extremely comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were strong. 10/10 would recommend.

The staff were so very friendly and accommodating. We saw monkeys while swimming in the pool. Gorgeous river views. Clean room with strong air conditioner. I would love to stay there again.

Beautiful location on the river. Very nice staff. Big clean room. Comfortable beds. Nice restaurant. You’re surrounded by nature. A quick 20-30 minutes to main airport.

Friendly and laid back resort on the Belize river. My wife and stayed for 3 nights, and enjoyed lounging by the pool and taking an all day trip to Lamanai as well as a local river cruise. Amazing wildlife! We saw howler monkeys, iguanas, parrots and countless other birds in the resort itself. The restaurant at the resort is quite good. We also appreciated the location just 20 minutes from the airport (although it feels very secluded)

It was quite nice garden view very pool, meals were great and the staff is very excellent polite and very helpful
