Welcoming staff, beautiful hotel

The loft room was very nice, and the staff were really helpful

Overall still a great hotel but noticing standards dropping, no hairdryer in room, tiles are getting dirty in bathroom. Breakfast buffet choice limited in comparison to a London 5* equivalent

Staff wouldn’t sit you down in the bar. When they eventually did drinks took an age to come.

Clocking clean and lovely amenities

The hotel in general was ok. Having to book a table in the bar was not ideal when we wanted a quick drink. Room cleaning was really late and after spending a day out expected room to be clean when we arrived back at 4,30pm - it was not. Not much step free access , so not ideal if got mobility issues. We stayed on the 2nd floor and there was a wedding reception on the first floor on our first night, the noise was awful and went on until 2am, we had to complain along with a number of other guests, we were offered a higher floor room and a bottle of Prosecco. Staff were polite and courteous and couldn’t fault them but I don’t think we will be rushing back.

Lovely comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Great bathroom with fab Penhaligon’s products. Had a relaxing stay (despite the noisy people in the next room waking me up!). Beautiful hotel with a really interesting history. Will definitely visit again.

The gym had all the equipmet we needed.

Great location, clean and quiet. Huge comfortable bed but the pillows were very soft. Staff were all friendly and professional.

Madeleine Bar is great. Room was nice, but I didn’t rate the bathroom as the room is large but the bath / shower combination was very small. The breakfast was not good at all.

From the moment we walked into the Grand Hotel yesterday to the moment we left, everything was absolutely first class. The service was spot on, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and the whole experience felt really special. We were offered the option to upgrade to a junior suite, which we took—and wow, it was out of this world. The room was stunning and made the stay even more memorable. Honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. We’ll definitely be booking again and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-quality stay.

Very, very nice hotel. A little expensive, but totally worth it.

Beautiful hotel. We had a nice view of the cathedral and Ferris wheel and the bar is great.

Breakfast was phenomenal. It was strange that there was only one robe in the double bedroom and I wish coffee and biscuits were replenished in the room every day. Otherwise, I have nothing negative to say. This was my third stay in this hotel and I love it there every time.
