Visit Singapore's Ikeda Spa in Bukit Timah for a day of relaxation and pampering.
Ikeda Spa is a multi-award-winning luxury spa that specializes in traditional Japanese onsen treatments.

Take a break from the hectic pace of everyday life and spend some time resting and pampering yourself at Ikeda Spa in Singapore's Bukit Timah. Ikeda Spa, known as the country's first true Japanese spa, distinguishes itself from the competition by using real hinoki in their onsen, a highly valuable form of cypress wood in Japan that was originally reserved solely for royalty.

Hinoki wood, which is typically used for incense, emits a blend of essential fragrances that have a relaxing impact on your body while you bathe in a hot bath. Choose from a range of their distinctive treatments designed to revitalize your mind and body, each one meticulously customised for each customer to provide an amazing experience!

Try out the two Spa packages on Traveloka, each of which includes a 30-minute session in the Hinoki Onsen followed by a 60-minute Ganbanyoku Detox Massage.

[ Hinoki Onsen Bath]

Gets its name from the use of hinoki, Japan’s most prized cypress wood once reserved strictly for royalty, and used for building palaces, temples and shrines. This precious wood releases mineral oils with soothing scents, anti-bacterial properties and many other therapeutic benefits. We have gathered a total of 5 different bath salt choices for different aromatherapy and other health benefits for your needs.

Ryujin Onsen Bath
1.
Ryujin Onsen is situated in the flowing water of the Hidaka River, filled with the fragrance of the surrounding woods in a natural setting. This soothing onsen bath has milky peach water with the aroma of clean, wild cherry blossom. Great for nourishing and rejuvenating your skin.
Ureshino Onsen Bath
1.
Located in southwestern Saga Prefecture, its clear golden onsen waters are high in sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride and feel extremely smooth on the skin, giving rise to its popularity as a “Bihada no Yu” (lit. beautiful skin waters).

Noboribetsu Onsen Bath

1.
Noboribetsu is one of Japan’s most unique hot spring resorts and arguably the most popular hot spring in Hokkaido. This onsen bath salt has luminous milky white water, with the aroma of crisp, clean air. Excellent for pure relaxation of the mind and body.
Yamashiro Onsen Bath
1.
Yamashiro is in a beautiful hot spring region of Japan and is believed to have been discovered 1300 years ago. This onsen bath has milky blue water, with the flowery aroma of a sweet iris. It is excellent for relieving fatigue.
Tsuta Onsen Bath
1.
Tsuta is in the hillside of South Hakkoda, a back room of Aomori, and is surrounded by the quiet Japanese beech woods. This onsen bath has milky green water, with a gentle wildflower fragrance. Helps to promote better blood circulation.

*Bath salt is subjected to availability. The Single Hinoki Onsen bath session can only begin with a minimum of an hour of the treatment booked.

[Ganbanyoku Detox Massage]

Luxuriate on Hakone volcanic rocks while your therapist loosens knotted muscles with our Ganbanyoku Detox Massage. The treatment is performed on a special heated rock bed, also known as ganbanyoku. Although Ganbanyoku means “stone bathing” in Japanese, it is not technically a bath because there is no water involved. Instead, when heated to 49°C, these Hakone volcanic rocks bathe skin in infrared rays and negative ions to accelerate metabolism, boost the immune system and complexion, and lift spirits.

3 BENEFITS OF GANBANYOKU
1.
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: 60 minutes of this is equivalent to running 15 km ‒ you can expect to burn up to 1,500 calories. –
2.
MOOD LIFTING: Female volunteers in a Japanese study reported an anti-depressant effect, post-treatment
3.
DETOX: Only 80-85% of the sweat you lose during this treatment is water. The rest consists of cholesterol, fat-soluble toxins, sulphuric acid, sodium, ammonia and uric acid.

*These findings on the benefits of Ganbanyoku are based on studies published in The Journal of the American Medical Association, The Japan Times and Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice.
