Completed in 1985, Nanyuan was originally the retirement residence of Mr. Wang Tiwu, the founder of United Daily News. It was designed by Professor Han Baode, the father of Taiwanese architecture, based on the inspiration of Zhao Boju's masterpiece "A Getu" in the Song Dynasty. Admire the precious Taiwanese cypress used to build it. Look out for the integrated Jiangnan Courtyards, Hokkien-style buildings, Western-style buildings, and arcades.
