We were in room 111 and upon entry to the room there was a strong odour of cigarettes. I’m sure the housekeeping staff had done as much as they could to negate this. The balcony door we could not open and this may have been important in case of a fire. A major litigation red flag however, was having to climb into the bath to take a shower especially with elderly guests. I would advise that this is a major risk that needs to be addressed for future planning. The shower water did not stay hot unfortunately.
The breakfast man was very good at his job as was the late manager. Breakfast was great and given the location and competition of cafes the breakfast man is an asset to the hotel. The receptionist upon check out did not even enquire as to the satisfaction of our stay. I work in healthcare and we teach our staff that every moment of contact is an opportunity to ask is there anything you would like us to know. She missed a golden opportunity to have a good conversation with us prior to leaving.

TV didn’t work and neither did the hot water. Supposedly the hotel was full and couldn’t be moved to a different room. Heard someone else at the counter from a different room with similar complaints.

outdated for the price you pay, we had our room sign up for 2 days and the room didn't get cleaned once, just came in and hung our used towels up and washed a couple of cups and left in the sink. won't be staying here again.

excellent. note we had breakfast included, and a higher level room with balcoany for this review. Very good presentation of property. Often at 40yrs they are let go and are a shadow of former glory, but not here. Pool was great. Dinner very good. Breakfast good (although coffee a big let-down). The bathroom and room great. Games provided.
Also note when we were there, it was quite under-populated by travellers, and tariff was relatively low. I imagine the pool could be awful in school holidays etc, full of 'orrible children, so bear that in mind, but all in all, a grteat experience for price. I would def return (but maybe only in off-season times)

The ocean was visible on the horizon from our room with clear views out into the sea beyond. Beautiful - real - plants hung over the edges of all the balconies, cascading down to create an indoor green space and lovely ambience. The design of this Hotel is in the round so that each room has an outward facing balcony accessible from the room itself & this adds another element. Parking was available within the hotel parking area and close to exits. Overall we had a peaceful stay and would not hesitate to return again.

Our room was well presented however a little dirty. Our shower wet the entire floor of the bathroom almost flooded. Our fridge was barely cold. We also couldn’t get out wifi to work. Overall pretty disappointed.

The elevator nearest the rear parking lot was not working. It was required to walk back to the reception area to use that elevator. The room was clean and I thought a good size. The front door does not self close fully. The door will still be open enough so it doesn’t not lock. No key required to open the door. When using the shower I had a lot of water leak onto the floor. The shower screen on the bathtub is on hinges. Nice but if it’s not exactly in the right spot, water on the floor. This was probably me.
