観光鉄道の駅前にある，古めかしくも荘厳な建物です。共用バスルームの部屋が非常に安価なため，割り切って利用してみました。建物の内部も古く，朝食もパンとシリアル程度ですが，この価格なら十分な内容だと思います。共用スペースに冷蔵庫，テレビあり。駐車場は広くなく，大方の場合は路上に止めることになると思います。ゲームセンターが併設されているため，夜遅くまでうるさいです。近くのスーパーは19時頃まで(曜日により異なる)，飲食店は21時頃までの営業です。なお，サイトでは専用バスルームの部屋がありますが，自室と独立したバスルームがいくつもあったので，もしかすると共用バスルームの部屋と大して変わらないかもしれません(未確認)。

Ok this is an old building and we should appreciate that. The room facilities were basic (the shower head leaked reducing pressure, one electrical blanket did not work and the general cleaning could be better) we thought that the continental breakfast layout could be better to reduce congestion. The breakfast was toast, cereal and limited fruit. Tea and coffee was available. The location was excellent over the road from the railway. The staircase is magnificent . Would I stay there again, not sure.

Great room excellent views from the upstairs balcony. Highly recommend the food at the pub. It's well above the usual pub food and I especially would recommend getting a steak or the chicken Florentine which we found outstanding. Believe it or not, make sure you book for the dining room before or when you check in, it's that popular and deservedly so. Staff were very friendly and eager to help.

Stayed in a recently renovated suite. Clean and comfortable, modern bathroom design.. Also had dinner in the dining area, good pub food, must book as it is quite busy. Staff lovely.

Clean room but much much smaller than the photos. Staff are lovely. Great steak on a Thursday night

Room was very clean, neat and lovely and quiet. Well appointed. Breakfast is very basic. Cereal Options limited to cornflakes and rice bubbles. I would suggest that you offer another couple of options like add weetbix and perhaps some muesli or cranola and some fresh fruit and yogurt. Beautiful old hotel with lots of character and so much potential. Staff very friendly.

Room was very small but adequate for our stay Quite a bit of noise from the fridge units outside when trying to sleep Free breakfast was good and the bar staff were friendly but closing at 9pm on a friday night wasn't ideal

The Empire Hotel Queenstown oozes character and charm. Our room was simple but clean with lovely linen and the beds were very comfortable. Our check in at the front bar was easy and the staff were very friendly. Pub food was nicely done and it was a fantastic location straight across the road from the Wilderness Railway station in Queenstown. Lovely old town with friendly locals.

Lovely dining room and dinner

I was there a week room was not cleaned,or tidied,room was ok staff ok,food not so good.

We been on the road for a while, it was raining, cold outside The electronic blanket was hit. The building was amazing. We had a nice dinner the fire was going inside. Free breakfast yay. Friendly staff , I love it.

Sad to see a town that is only just surviving. Many shops closed and limited places to eat. Food at the hotel was pretty good though.

Ideally placed for everything. Nice old building well maintained.

My second time staying at the hotel. A lovely old hotel. The only thing is the complimentary breakfast is over at 0900. I would prefer it to go until 0930, but that is just me. I will return next year.

The history of the building and the staff were welcoming and very friendly. The complimentary Continental breakfast was exceptional. Would recommend for a memorable stay.
